Yes, it is expensive but this place literally saved my dog's life twice. The doctors are SO caring and amazing. I actually prefer to take my dog here rather than her normal vet. Their equipment is state of the art and instead of going back and forth with the vet and them not knowing what is wrong, I have gone here and they know exactly what the cause is. The environment is welcoming and you just know your pet is in good hands here. A dog came in with a case of Parvo while my chihuahua was there and they made sure to keep the dog with Parvo completely seperate from any other pets. They even had a special entrance specifically for that. Thank you VMSG for all of your help.

WARNING! What these *&^% charge is ridiculous! VMSG is way OVERPRICED. I took my dog in for a sudden onset of unknown illness. 48 hours and $3300 dollars and 3 different diagnosises later, they wanted to do surgery to remove a bladder stone from my dog's urethra for an ADDITIONAL $5500...yes, a total of $8800....I simply could not afford that. My dog did not have any terminal illness, but I was faced which having to put him down or make him suffer because I could not afford their ridiculous fees! I yanked him out of there and found a father and son vet surgical team in L.A. that looked at the test results VMSG had done, found things VMSG missed on those SAME TESTS, and immediately performed surgery on my dog saving his life directly, and indirectly, and the father and son team only charged me $1000. My dog is alive and doing well because I RESCUED him from VMSG. This is 'hold your pet hostage for your wallet' at it's best. Will NEVER take another pet there and would NEVER recommend VMSG to anyone!

I have to admit, I was shocked by the negative reviews. I took my dog in who had two fused growth plates and bi-lateral elbow dysplasia. The staff and Doctor's were AMAZING. Nothing but complete professionals and VERY attentive to my pup's needs. While I was there I observed at least a dozen other people come in and were treated the exact same way. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to go to VMSG - they are a top notch facility with state of the art technology at their disposal! Thank you Dr. Bruecker and Dr. Blair and to your phenomenal staff!

I've had 2 dogs that needed emergency help over the last year. Here's what I know for an absolute fact: the team of Drs. Scott, Chow and Bentley saved my dog's life in one case and in the other, minimized the possible damage from her traumatic injuries. In each case, we needed advanced diagnostic care and intervention. Drs. Scott, Chow and Bentley are much more than competent - they are talented, gifted, efficient, and as an added bonus they are so caring and supportive. They even have senses of humor ;) With one dog, the injury was somewhat straighforward (car accident) but the other dog needed an especially sharp eye, better imaging that an xray, and very quick action. I LOVE this place and will be forever indebted to them. It's expensive to be a dog owner, yes. But for the level of care we received, they are cheap.

They do great work, but just double your estimate and thats what your gonna pay. My dog needed some serious bone surgery to fix his leg, I was quoted 5-6K, now i'm about 11K in and counting, but my dogs leg is straight as can be! (At the price of a used car). If it's worth it to you then they can fix whatever problem your pet has. No hard feelings, just know you've gotta pay.
