Just the absolute worst. I took my cat there for three years, and always, the service & care were the pits. I went because they were close. THEN--two things happened. FIRST, my neighbor died and left behind his black cat in a leg cast. In an effort to adopt it & make sure it received the right care, we went to HCaDH and asked if they could tell us whether the cat had indeed received treatment from their facility. They showed zero sympathy, and refused to 'release records' (keep in mind we weren't asking them to) and wouldn't even tell us IF they were the vet who had put on the cast. They were cold, insensitive, and essentially abandoned the cat to the fates. Then--SECOND--I moved a few months later, and called to ask if they could fax my own cat's records to a new vet. Surprise-surprise, the only record they had for my cat dated back to 2009--they hadn't updated his records (or kept any?) for YEARS. Made me wonder why they weren't 'releasing records' for my neighbor's cat--because they don't keep any?!

I brought my cat in after an attack, I mean right after. They gave me an $800 laundry list of stuff they wanted to do. Hook her up to an IV, sedate her, shave her, four part x-ray and antibiotics . .. I said I couldn't afford that. So they pushed me on the antibiotics. Four days later, I took her to another vet. And that Dr. did a one part X-ray and found nothing wrong with her. In fact, she said the antibiotics were totally unnecessary. My cat was gagging on them. That bill was under $200. You can't trust anyone anymore. Never recommend it. In fact, the vet said they get a lot of their patients due to similar complaints.

I just adopted a dog and took her to Hollywood Cat and Dog Hospital for her shots. They were nice and didn't make me wait too long. Not sure how they are for a medical emergency, but they were nice enough on here vaccinations.

My dog was suffering from heat exhaustion, i needed help immediately and on the way to the Hollywood Cat and Dog Hospital i called the receptionist to let them know it was an emergency and I was afraid my dog was dying. A girl Michelle picked up the phone and said carelessly that the DR was about to leave (it was friday 1.45 pm) and even if i came there, there was no one to come and help me carry my dog ( he is an english bulldog 60 pounds) and i couldnt lift him myself which i told her. Then she said maybe i should go somewhere else and hung up the phone!!! I started panicking and called my normal vet., they were to far away and suggested the nearest place they knew. It was TLC (santa monica and la cienaga)and they were friendly and said they will come out on the street to wait for me to arrive, it took me 10 min to get there and 2 min before i got there my dog stoped breathing! The Dr. at TLC took him in but they were not able to do anything for him. I later called the Hollywood Cat and Dog hospital back to talk to the DR, Danny picked up the phone and said that the DR ( dr. Gerghis), was in the middle of surgery. I asked him please to have the DR call me back but they never did. How a Dr. was in surgery when he was supposed to be leaving for the say I have no idea. My dog was alive when I could have taken him to the first place, I'm not sure he could have been saved but he for sure would have had a better chance. Hollywood Cat and Dog should be ashamed of the service they gave!!
