Services seem to be centered on what will make the clinic the most money, i.e., asking for severely ill pets to be transported in AFTER they have just been seen days prior so they can ring up another office visit. They are also not ashamed to sell products that consist of basically chlorine and water at an exorbitant price.
Last week I had to drive my neighbor into Northpointe on an emergency. They're dog had been attacked by another stray dog that was running loose. When I called the receptionist said they were booked with appointments but they could see us if it was an emergency. When we got there, the receptionist took their dog into the back right away when she saw how bad it really was. My neighbor was so upset that he couldnt talk and thankfully they were patient with him. The manager happen to walk up front when we were filling out the paperwork and asked if we needed help, when my neighbor looked at her, he started to cry because he was worried about "Bear". She came around the counter and gave him a hug and said they would do their very best to help him. I have never been to this vet until then and I will definately be taking my pets there. Bear went home the next day and he is doing just fine. My neighbor doesn't let him out of his sight. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of them, you will be seeing me soon with my pets.
I normally really really liked this vet until recently. I have been given the run around and my pet has been on meds for 3 weeks that dont work obviously because he is still having trouble peeing and when he does its in random places and he howls while tries to go. So I called them back yet again because it got worse and I said Id like to make the earliest possible appointment as he can barely urinate at all anymore and this can be fatal.....cue rude attitude from KELLY. Well you are going to have to call back in the morning. Why? You are open 24hrs.??? I asked if she could please look at the schedule for me to put me in the earliest appointment spot and she told me no she couldnt. Ok?.....so I asked if I could bring him in at opening to see the earliest they could get him in and she replies with a snotty.....I guess. So I decided to ask just one more time because I dont get why she simply could not look at a schedule so I asked again why could she not look at the earliest available appointment for me and she said, I know we are all booked up tomorrow morning and during the day in a VERY snotty tone. Look, if you have an emergency going on say so, if you are super busy then politely ask me to call back. But dont work at a vets office and be so rude and inconsiderate of a persons pet. You are there to help and be considerate that is your JOB. And if I ask you what your name is dont beat around the bush either. If you have the nerve to be that rude to me on the phone then you can have the decency to give me your name when a patient asks for it and you can bet I will be speaking with the manager. KELLY you should work on your attitude and being polite especially when dealing with people worried about their pets well-being. If you cant at least fake 5 minutes of pretending to care then you should go work at a place full of rude people, such as the DMV. Im sure you would fit right in.
After trying a few different veterinary clinics in town, I took one of my sick cats to Northpointe Vet. She had lesions on her feet from dental neglect by a different veterinarian at a different hospital. The staff and veterinarians were excellent at diagnosing and treating my sick cat. Since that first visit I have not taken my pets anywhere else. The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly. I have never had to wait long for a visit and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
We are so lucky to have local emergency service and we don't have to drive for an hour to get urgent care for our pets anymore. The Vet treated my dog Buffy and me, so well I have made the choice to use them for all the well visits too! The Vet even made a recommendation of adding cooked chicken in the kibble for my really skinny Buffy, and she loves his advice and has put on a few pounds, only two ribs show now. Large clean waiting room (no smells) and all the staff was caring and patient with the situation.
