I have been taking my cat to Dr. Haas for the last year and he has been amazing! He is a little gruff, but he treats each patient with kindness and consideration. He and his staff always take superb care of my cat every time he comes, and Dr. Haas doesn't gouge you for cost. He does what is necessary and tries to make it affordable for everyone to take good care of their pets. He is fantastic and so is his staff. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet that will take great care of your pet while keeping prices reasonable.

Philip Haas examined my pets for close to 3 years. I continued to see him since I had four animals and his prices low and affordable. I ended my visits with Philip Haas after I took my one of my cats in to be put down. This man was so DAMN insensitive, uncaring and rude!! I had also requested a paw print plaque that cost me $75. It took them over a week and a half to give this to me and when I received it, it was just a glob of clay with a subtle print - ABSURD! Why did I stay with him as long as I did? As I said, his prices were unbeatable. I never liked this man and thinking back, I've ever even seen this man smile. On a prior visit with one of my dogs (60lbs), I tell him that there is something wrong with her hips...what did he do, took her by her ankles and flipped her upside down on the exam table with no regard to how painful it could have been for her. He acted as if I inconvenienced him by asking him what was wrong with her. Yet, I gave him another chance. I take my oldest cat in to be examined, he demands that I give him a rabies shot even though I adamantly told him that he was allergic. He fights me, tells me it's the law (indoor cat btw) convinces me to give him the shot. Then tells me his teeth are bad and needs dental work and could get him in right there and then. After leaving my cat with this man (yes, of my own stupidity and fault) and under surgery, I realize that my cat hadn't fasted for 12 hours - imperative for surgery!!! My cat made it out alive but then had a large lump on his back where the shot was injected. It felt like a tumor so I take him back in, like an idiot, to find out what the hell this is, he tells me it's most likely a tumor and needs surgery right away. I left, did my homework and discovered this man injected him wrong with the rabies shot and my cat is also allergic...so I put two and two together and refused the surgery. The lump went away thank goodness but to think that he almost put my cat on the table again for NO reason just infuriates me! If you love your animals more than I do, don't let this man near your animals, not even once! Not even for the prices.

I love this shop for all and every animal I've had. I don't respect corporate america and support local buisnesses. True they cannot offer all the bulk deals that large corporations offer, but they have way cooler items that you cannot find everywhere. I also love their natural foods selections. There is a vet located in the back of the store, Dr. Haas. He has been my animals vet since the mid 1990's. Matt the fish guy also drives to my home and helps maintain my 55 gallon fish tank. We've kept my tank up and running for over 10years, with some originals still living in the tank. Nothing is better than having to avoid cleaning your own fish tank. The two owners are very informative on any crazy question that I ask about my old adopted dog with many health issues. They have helped me to really bring his health around and saved me lots of $$$ on avoiding vet bills. They also help out the local animal shelter in adopting out family friendly dogs and cats. Awesome contributor to the community. So when it comes to reviews like WB-you can look at his other reviews and see that some people will complain about any and everything. But check it out for yourself. I do not go to any other pet shop-especially corporations. Love your local underdogs :-)

Originally, everything was so great! But after I found out one thing was mistaken and have confronted them about it, Was given a sudden cold shoulders and disrespectful tones after confronting the mistake they have done. I have specifically requested Dr, Haas to not to use Acepromazine on my dog, and few days later I have discovered that She got the injection, I will still suggest Dr Haas, but the fact am quite disappointed on how they have handled their mistake.
