I can't begin to say enough good things about Alpine Hospital. Dr. Mones and his entire team are caring, careful, kind and consummate professionals. Our beloved Great Dane, Ferdinand, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in April 2014. Dr. Mones very gently and patiently explained all our options. He let us reach our own decision with no judgements. We decided to go forward with an amputation despite Ferdinand's large size and advanced age. Once we made our decision, Dr. Mones backed us 100% and completely dedicated himself to making sure Ferdinand got the best possible care. He performed the surgery himself and was in constant consultation with the oncologists at CSU. Eight months later Ferdinand is a 3-legged wonder dog! He's happy, he's healthy and never seems to notice he's missing a leg. He's like a pup again now!!
I've been with Alpine Animal Hospital since 2004 and have always LOVED the service we've gotten there. I know the vets have changed a bit over the years, but everyone I've ever dealt with there is amazing!! I really feel like the staff understands the tough things that can happen with pets as family, and they are empathetic and so caring!! This vet clinic is the best and I've recommended them repeatedly over the years, with only thanks coming from the people I sent in. These guys are the real, four star treatment, with caring and understanding at the core.
Alpine changed hands a few years ago. I could not imagine that the new owners were as caring or good.. Dr. Mones and his associates are a great team. I am so happy with the care Henry has had. They are almost always available to fit us in for a quick visit if something comes up with our pooch I strongly recommend Alpine for any pet needs
I've brought four pets to Alpine. Don't ever need another vet. These folks are awesome. Friendly, loving. The vets always explain my options clearly. They are just great.
Recently my best friend and cat Wiggles became very ill. I brought him to Alpine for help, and I am happy to say that they supported me through the 3-week process of keeping him alive during the process of figuring out what was wrong with him. Alpine has a team of 4 vets (one is a holistic vet), several vet techs, and other staff members who all work together to facilitate communication and give great service, so calls and emails are answered promptly and it's usually possible to get an appointment on the day you need one. This is great. As far as genuinely caring about me and my cat -- Alpine far surpasses any other vet I've been to. They say they appreciate when animal guardians really care about and are involved with their pets, and they care too. Their communication and just plain caring has been outstanding. One thing I really liked is if you want to be with your animal when they do blood tests, give sub-q fluids or shots, they will come into the room and allow you to be there during the process and help. I believe this is much less stressful for the animal (rather than the animal being taken away from you, thinking s/he is being abandoned or going to who knows what future). Also, at my request, they taught me to give sub-q fluids so I was able to do this at home. This was very helpful as I really want to be involved in all aspects of the care of my cats. I received a lot of phone and email support, both from the staff and the vets. This was very helpful, because at a time of crisis (it really looked like Wiggles might die), one becomes rather emotional at the prospect of loss. Then the logical part of the brain does not function well...... it's easy to forget things and just be spacey. And the staff was very kind and supportive during this process. I appreciate Alpine hospital. Their staff is great! I've taken my cats to a lot of vets and this is the one of choice for me. I was happy with their service and I am even happier to say that Wiggles has almost recovered from his illness. That little guy is so grateful to be alive and feeling better, and that makes me feel so much better too.
