We took our elderly dog into the clinic late on Thanksgiving day and had an excellent experience! Dr. Grimm and her staff were thorough and professional and were able to diagnose and treat the source of our dog's illness -- which our regular vet had missed earlier in the week! We are filled with gratitude for the Clinic. I highly recommend this facility for all emergency pet needs!!!

I called at 11pm last night & explained what was wrong with my cat & was told to bring him right in. The staff & Dr. Carroll both explained exactly what was going on in terms that I could understand & with kindness. They did a wonderful job & I felt confident leaving him under their care for the night. I took my cat to my regular vet this morning & Boulder Emergency Pet Clinic sent the IV bag & 2 others with me so if he needed any further treatment at my regular vet that I would already have those & not get charged again. Wonderful experience.

I found the doctor and nurse to be compassionate and very competent. Good people, doing a great job. The experience I had tonight is just another reason to be thankful during the Thanksgiving Holidays. I am not sure that my dog will make it, but I know I took him to the right place.

My experience at the Boulder Emergency Pet Clinic was absolutely abhorrent. The staff and doctor were rude beyond belief. The doctor would not look me in the eyes and would look up and to the right, and she was fidgety and had a sterile, detached approach. The doctor kept on pushing for unnecessary testing and refused to accommodate outpatient services. For the sake of my puppy's well-being I followed through with the prescription but it was painfully obvious that the doctor was milking a disadvantaged situation, she was no better than Goldman Sachs 'jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money'. Simple blood work and stool tests that take no more than half an hour took two hours in this underpopulated vicinity. I overheard the staff cackling in the back while I waited and this is verbatim what I overheard: "I love the part of my job where, I-like, bitch people out and tell 'em how it is, with like payments and stuff, I bitch them out and jus' tell 'em that they cant do anything 'bout it! ha!" After the painful wait and rude service, I was told that I was going to be paying a deposit, a portion of the price that acts as a retainer, the quote for the entire service was expectedly high, however I was aggressively demanded to pay the total price upfront after I was told a minute ago to only pay the deposit and pay the remainder later. I told the receptionist to double check with the doctor's assistant who told me that I'd only be paying the deposit. The receptionist disgustingly blurted out the total payment amount again and put her hand staunchly out, demanding money now. I'm mortified and wish only people who truly give a damn and want to help and heal animals became vets and worked in the field, unlike Boulder Emergency Pet Clinic's impersonal, unprofessional, uncouth and disrespectful staff.

Horrible service.... We understand that there were other pets and it's first come first serve. But 3-4 hrs for a diagnosis of a broken foot and X-ray seems like quite a long time to me. Not to mention 95 bux for a "home made" splint seems rediculous. I would try somewhere else if you have a choice..... Not worth it.... Only did it for the dog!
