I have taken my 4 cats there for over six years and I never worry when I drop them off. The hospital is extremely clean, quiet, and well managed.. There is enough experience, care, and support staff that if I need something for my cats, they have an answer, and they educate me. Jessica at the front desk is always smiling and greeting me, so I feel welcome as I walk in. It is always a positive experience. Dr. Moses has so much energy and rapidly growing knowledge, and she cares. I miss Dr. Pollard, mostly retired, but I know Dr. Moses is competent and confident, as well as caring and friendly. That is why I give them a full 5 stars.
My cats were patients to Dr. Sandra Grover, who is a wonderful doctor. Sadly, she's left Carefree Cats. There's a vet who's running it...I don't recall his name. One morning I brought my male cat with Juvenile diabetes in one emergency. He was crashing....vitals and all showed he was losing the fight. His body temp was dropping steadily. He was crying in pain and too weak to move. The vet quickly assessed that my beloved kitty was losing the fight for life...there was no time to even run tests....he was dying. We agreed to euthanize him but I wanted the vet to give him sleeping medicine so he'd be asleep when the "kill shot" is given. This vet said, "no" and refused. He just gave him the "kill shot" and with a brief look of shock in his eyes, my kitty breathed his last. I don't care how much money it would cost....I'd gladly pay it to save my feline friend a moment of great pain and suffering. Dr. Grover doesn't work there anymore, so there's no reason to use them now. I'm looking for a loving, caring "cat vet" who treats me and my animals with dignity.
My experience with Carefree Carts has always been good, I will not use another vet for my cats. I have 2 cats - Miss Kitty & Little Bit. I just wish I had came to Carefree Cats a couple years ago. They are very professional and caring, If I had maybe Charlie and Boone would still be alive today. In the past we have adopted older cats from the shelter, we have given them a good life until they pass, its the least I could do for the sheltered cats, they give unconditional love.
I have taken my cats to Carefree Cats over a span of twelve years. They have done all kitties services such as declawing, neutering, shots, dentals, and the occasional accidental abscess or broken toe. I moved away for a few years to NJ and went to two other veterinarians, and I can tell you that Carefree Cats seems a better alternative for all of our veterinary needs. I like that they are flexible in scheduling appointments, often same day, and that they don't have to send out for test results and supplies, as did some smaller vets in NJ. Therefore, I feel that they can ascertain what is going on in the first visit within hours, not days. I tend to agree that certain diagnostic testing is needed to correctly identify the issue and to determine the best course of action. After all, until my cats start speaking English and can tell the vet where they hurts, it is a necessary process. I am convinced that the newer facility offers us better care as they have the room for in-house diagnostic testing, overnight hospitalization and to offer the necessary take home medication immediately. I feel that they are keeping my Cats best interests at heart in an out of the exam room. I also believe that their rates are competitive with other vets that I have experienced. Further, I feel that they are keenly aware of the high cost of veterinarian care and I believe that they make reasonable efforts to reduce the necessary charges. They are able to accommodate my Insurance claim forms and I have never had any issue about non-coverage due to work performed. Most importantly they specialize in cats - Dr. Pollard and Dr. Moses are an effective team who's primary concern is devoted to my cats well being. I am always happy to see a friendly face when I arrive, Pat - Office Manager, whom I have known for twelve years as a dedicated and conscientious friend and staff, knowing that they will be there for years to come for me and my cats.
Just had our first ever visit with our kitten Sheldon and they were wonderful! The minute you walk in it feels like a spa because it's so quiet/relaxing. They were running behind on our appointment due to an emergency but they let us know right away. When we were finally seen they gave Sheldon a snack and took awesome care of him. I had to bring the kiddos with me and Dr.Moses gave them some crayons and a book to color in to keep them busy. Dr. Moses was great and gave Sheldon lots of lovins. Their prices are reasonable the only thing I wish is that they gave military discount but maybe they could consider it for the future? Glad to know we have an amazing vet to go to when our babies feeling sick. Thanks again Dr. Moses and the staff at Carefree Cats!
