My husband and I rushed our furry baby to Northside Emergency Pet Clinic back at the beginning of November. Within a couple hours our dog’s behavior had drastically changed from him jumping around to not being able to move at all. Due to our dog being an illegal breed in Adams County, I called prior to make sure they would be able to treat him and notified me they were able to. Upon arrival they helped us wheel in our baby and started examining him right away. After analyzing him they decided to keep him overnight due to his fluids being really low and an irregularly low body temperature. Through out the entire process Dr. Marano walked us through what was going on with our baby, how he planned on treating him, how much it was going to cost us and making sure we were comfortable with everything. After reading other reviews on here I was very hesitant to take my dog here. We were very desperate and knew he needed emergency medical treatment ASAP! The staff here helped us through this traumatic event and took amazing care of our baby! Dr. Marano is an amazing Vet and I highly recommend him. Although our baby’s diagnosis was not the best of news, he helped us fully understand our options and was very empathetic.
I brought my cat named Kitty into this place and I knew she was constipated and they took her in and completely worked her over and gave her an X RAY. The doctor came and got me out of the little room and showed me her X RAY and she was very constipated due to her move from MA. It is very dry out here! They quoted the care for her and said come back in the morning. All the while she had been shown to a clean cage with a soft blanket and they gave her food and water. They let me say goodbye to her! The next morning I came and the bill was spot on what they quoted and Dr. Grimm spoke to me about her for 20 minutes explaining everything that I had to give her and when to come back if she got sick. These people are an awesome pet hospital. Let's face it though they cannot do it for free. There is a reason behind every charge. Thanks Northside for helping kitty when I couldn't!!!! ***** 5 stars
These people are as sloppy as they are unprofessional. I made the mistake of taking my beloved pet rabbit here. First off, while my pet was being examined, a cat under their care decided to curl up in the water fountain and take a nap. I wanted a drink of water, and after the staff saw the cat, they just commented on it's cuteness, rather than cleaning the fountain or even chasing the cat out of there. Super hygienic. Not everyone brought a bottle of water to the emergency room in a panicked state. Not everyone wants to drink from a fountain and get a mouthful of cat fur. This should have been my signal to grab my rabbit and run. I began to wonder when the last time the waiting room was sanitized as well because of the condition of the seating area. After his DEATH on Wednesday (1/9/13) at THEIR facility in Broomfield, I received a telephone call on Saturday (1/12/13) from Kimberly at Northside Emergency Pet Clinic asking how my animal was doing. Needless to say, I was immediately disgusted and offended. I asked her how she couldn't know he passed away at their facility, assuming she even bothered to read his medical records prior to her little followup. Instead of apologizing for this unfathomable mistake, she became argumentative and combative, calling me "sir" in a very insulting and derogatory tone, claiming how could she know when she wasn't there. Thank God she wasn't there when my animal was. Who knows how Kimberly would have screwed that up? Maybe, not calling us while he was dying? Or charging us and collecting payment on services that were not performed? Thank you Kimberly at Northside Emergency Pet Clinic. I will never take another soul to your foul emergency room. You have the behavior of an insensitive clod with no respect towards people who suffered a huge loss. I hope no person ever puts their trust in your to do your job correctly. You will only let them down. Good job! Congratulations! I hope it feels so good to be so right.
We had found 2 puppies and a couple of days later, 1 of them was very sick. Our vet recommends Northside Emergency Pet Clinic and I was a little skeptical. I had gone to another emergency vet a couple of months previous and I felt like a poor pet owner because I didn't want to spend a $1000 on my 15 year old cat. Dr. Marano at Northside was wonderful, he discussed our options and costs without making us feel bad. I appreciated his concern for us, as well as for the puppy. I think they were amazing, compassionate, professional and very helpful.
We are in the beginning of a snow storm and I have literally called about 30 places trying to find just one place within15 miles that will help my poor dying rat and every single one of them refers me to these buffoons not knowing that they were one of the first ones that I called. First, the way whoever handled the call was extremely unprofessional, she told me that they deal with emergency calls with pet rats but the doctor needs to know what it is first, (it was sneezing, not eating/drinking, lethargy... basically death watch) and I was turned down like I was interrupting the doctor's night out and the woman on the phone had the nerve to refer me (during a snow storm) to the boulder clinic when I live off 128th and Colorado. You disgusting people are dealing with animals that people love. Ridiculous.
