Dr. Miller is very knowledgable, matter-of-fact, and terrific with our dogs. Our older dog had a growth on her face that our previous vet's office simply could not figure out, even after 3 different visits about it and seeing different vets within the office. When we brought her to Rising Sun, Dr. Miller simply walked in the room and knew what was going on right away, even before running tests to verify. We continuously feel we are given all the information possible on any issue we have had, and she is very up-front about what needs done and the cost associated, as well as letting you know if something can wait; she certainly doesn't push services on you. We feel that our dogs are safe and being well taken care of at Rising Sun. Also, her support staff is wonderful, and we always receive follow-up calls to check on how our girls are doing, even after routine shots and such.
There aren't enough compliments in the world to do Dr. Miller justice. She literally is an angel sent to take care of our four legged babies. Rolex had a rare new disease that attacked his GI and intestinal system, i thank God that we ended up in Dr. Millers care. I have never in my life encountered a more caring, empathetic and genuine human being, she went above and beyond in Rolex's care even though we knew there was a chance he wouldn't be able to win the fight but just like me and Rolex she never gave up she researched every possibility, contacted every single specialist she could think of, she literally fought the fight with us and gave Rolex few more weeks on earth. I know Rolex appreciated the way she treated him, she would always sit on the floor and pet him asking him how he's doing. I will never forget her kindness. I am honored to know such a person, and will not trust babies to anybody else. Rolex did lose the fight in the end and passed away on 4/8/14, i know he would have preferred to be in Dr. Millers care at that time but unfortunately that was not possible. Thank you Dr. Miller and your wonderful staff for everything you guys did for us
We were able to be seen within the hour when we called to inquire about blood work and arthritis for our eldest cat. We were greeted immediately and initial screening was quick and relatively painless. Dr. Moffett was extremely courteous and explained a course of treatment, and we really appreciated the free initial exam. We've since paid for blood work, pain meds, treats and kidney-saving food, all of which were fairly priced. I highly recommend Rising Sun and hope they continue to grow and thrive in Lowry.
There aren't enough words to describe the compassion, generosity, knowledge and skill of Dr. Deanna Miller. She has been our vet for many, many years and we drive to her office from northwest Arvada because I trust no one else with my three Eskies. She performs miracles. She has not only saved the life of my therapy dog, Cissy, but yesterday she did wondrous intricate dental work on Cissy, who is now 15 y/o and Malekai, who is seven, plus took care of numerous emergencies on other animals that came in - and she was still smiling at 5:00 pm!! She is truly one in a million and I will always thank her, appreciate her and praise her - she is the best!
Dr. Miller is a fantastic vet and is great with our dogs. Last year our 17yo American Eskimo, Niki lost the use of her back legs. Dr. Miller quickly determined the cause was a disc that was being pinched by the spine. She recommended laser therapy and we began that treatment. Niki's ability to move improved for a short time but unfortunately her other medical problems overcame her in December and we made the decision to let her go. Dr. Miller did a wonderful job caring for Niki during this time and was so very compassionate when we came in for that final day. I highly recommend Dr. Miller and her staff to anyone who has four legged family members! More recently in 2014, our other Eskie, Poppi, had two fractured teeth. Dr. Miller and her staff took great care of Poppi when removing her teeth. Poppi's entire demeanor has changed as she has more energy and is ready to play again! Yesterday, our most recent rescue dog Toby, had to have two teeth removed. Again, Dr. Miller and her staff were excellent with Toby and their care was evident in the follow up after the surgery. Thanks Dr. Miller and staff!!
