absolutely recommend - have cared for 9 dogs over about 10 years for us which has included many disasters as well as routine care - all docs and all staff are wonderful - always friendly, caring, patient and helpful - hours can't be beat - we would have to move pretty darn far away to stop going to Chapelle. in response to fee comment below - we pay more reasonable rates here than we have at other vets, and all charges have always been very clearly explained to us. heartworm tests are a charge because they are a blood test/lab work, and my thought is that they need to be done by a certain date because meds need to begin by a certain date to cover mosquito season in the area. but, this blood test can be done without an office visit fee (which is actually a nice gesture) if your pet us up to date on physical exams and you have no other reason to be seen at heartworm time. (yes they do require a physical/wellness exam every once in awhile tho). we are always given our treatment/vaccine options/recommendations up front, with charges, and allowed to choose, with advice, and without pressure. and without going into detail, in the past year Chapelle has absorbed an unbelievable amount of cost to take care of one of our dogs that had serious health issues, including doing a lot of kenneling to keep an eye on her, to help us make the whole thing more convenient. not only did they save our dog, they saved our sanity. if i could give them 10 stars, i would.

The vets are very good. The staff is friendly. I like the play yard. But watch out for their fee structure. I received a call telling me I had until the end of the month to come in and get a heart worm test that didn't require an office visit or appointment. I'm thinking ok the heart worm test was part of her annual exam but they didn't complete it before due to timing. We get the test then they tell me that's a $42 charge. But wait I didn't think there was a charge. No we said you didn't have to pay an office fee which would have been an additional $45. If I had to pay a charge for the test, why did I have to complete the appointment by the end of the month, why couldn't I do it whenever? Overall nice place, just watch the convoluted fee structure.

I absolutely love everything about this place. Chappelle cares for and about your pets. The vets are just the best; Kind, thorough and knowledgeable - up to date with the latest treatments and techniques. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean and the hours are great - open 'til 8p several evenings . They have a wonderful pet yard. Every animal is treated with the utmost care. Chappelle Small Animal Hospital has treated my dogs and cats for about 8 years. My Golden has extreme allergies and skin issues. They have helped me get them under control and shown me how to treat them if they do flare up. My pets have had treatment from general care to surgeries at Chappelle always with the same excellent outcomes. I refer Chappelle to anyone I know that needs a vet. Five stars. Julia Senesac
