I used to volunteer for Fort Collins Cat Rescue and will do so again whenever I get to move back to Colorado. Having been around a bit, I can tell you that this is a first-class organization. The number of kitties they save is enormous. The staff is passionate and great at what they do. They do great work for the community. I'm happy to donate to them every year because I know that my money is being well used. Please go check them out!

Not sure what some of the negative posts were talking about!. I have had nothing but positive and wonderful experiences with the Cat Rescue. I had a neighbor leave 6 wild cats when they moved and they found their way to our barn. The rescue helped me trap, neuter, vaccinate and release all six for less than $100. They also helped me when I bottle fed two litters from those wild cats and then helped with neutering before the kittens found forever homes. I could not have done that with my vet and the animals would have been trapped and euthanized otherwise. I also have had the pleasure of them vaccinating and neutering two other cats that we rescued and adopted for our home. I never waited for more that 40 minutes at one of their clinics which is a shorter wait than you'll find at a vet clinic. I have always found the staff to be helpful and cheerful when I have visited. The kitty rooms are clean and organized and the cages are always of ample size. The staff are volunteers and give of themselves to be there. Take a negative post for what its worth...There are some people out there that just cant be pleased. I recommend the Fort Collins Cat Rescue for their clinics or if you are looking to adopt. We adopted a 12 week old kitten today and had a great experience. We have had terrible experiences with our local humane society and I was anxious about adopting from a shelter, but I can highly recommend Fort Collins Cat Rescue. The cages are clean, the cats are healthy, and they are particular about how you handle the kittens to prevent disease spread. We did not feel pushed to adopt from them, but we didn't feel snubbed either. They made us feel comfortable and allowed us to take our time looking at each cat available. We brought the little fluff ball home and he is adapting well!

This place is AWESOME! I have volunteered with Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic in the past and it is one of the most fantastic cat shelters in Colorado. The kitties are allowed to free roam in the adoption room and have time out of their cages to play and interact. There are shelves along the walls for them to climb and perch, toys and scratching pads. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about cat behavior and work hard to pair adopters with just the right cat for their families. And their spay/neuter clinic provides surgeries and vaccines at such low prices that people who might not normally be able to get this care for their pets can actually afford it. They also have assistance programs to help low-income people with dog and cat food and can help cover the cost of the surgery and shots if needed. I LOVE Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic!
