I starting going to VCA when I bought two little kittens, and have been given excellent care by Dr. Rick Klomhaus. I only wish I had brought my greyhound there when I had her. The prices seem a little high, but I was given a tour of the facility, and the place is huge! They have everything there, even pet boarding. I feel like they get the best of care there, so even if it costs a little more, my pets are worth it. The assistants are wonderful, and everyone there takes an interest in your pets. Would recommend to anyone.
We have been going to the VCA since 2009 and we love them. Dr. Arthur is our favorite. We have always had nothing but the best customer service from their staff and it's a relief to see a vet who really does care for our dogs. We moved in 2010 to Denver and we still bring our 3 dogs up to the VCA in Fort Collins. It's worth it to know our dogs will be cared for by someone we can trust. Dr. Arthur is incredibly knowledgeable with the problems we've had with our dogs. Some of our dogs require special health care. I've also always felt that the staff and Dr. Arthur went above and beyond in care for our dogs by answering emails, and helping us out with the fact that we come from far away to see them. VCA and Dr. Arthur will always be our very FAVORITE! Opal, Lily, and Rufus love going and we will continue to have our dogs be cared for by them as long as we can.
VCA Fort Collins provides fantastic veterinary care. All of the vets are extremely competent, knowledgeable and thorough, and the staff is professional, patient and caring. They do a wonderful job following up after appointments and treat both their patients and the patients' humans as individuals. A couple of reviewers commented that it is a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for, and VCA Fort Collins' incredible care is worth every penny. Plus, they give you an estimate for all the services, so there are no last-minute surprises.
So far, we have been happy taking our two dogs there. Every staff member has given excellent, caring service. It is a clean facility, and I have not felt pressured for extra services. We got a detailed estimate for a minor surgery, and there was a range given, which i thought was very practical and reasonable for us and for the hospital. No surprise charges. Although it is a large hospital, I have received several personal phone calls from the doctor. The evening and weekend hours are great! I really appreciate that for a person with a busy schedule.
Seem like good vets, expensive and they will leave no test undone to "insure the health" of your pet.... however, customer service and Jacqueline at the desk is hopeless. Smiling and feigning politeness, but simply rude with an attitude. We called in and wanted to pick up some meds for our dog, like we had done in the past. We had already waited three hours for a call back, received no word and as we were getting ready for a trip and out around town, we stopped by their office to pick up the dog meds like we have done in the past... got there and were told that no, the vet had wanted to talk to us and review the files and had not done so yet. Jacqueline appeared unhappy that we came to the office and she asked, "Did we call you?" She told us we should go home (30 minute drive) and wait for the vet to call us there. She said she was sorry but they "have their rules" and she could not give us the meds. Jacqueline admitted it would only take 2-3 minutes to discuss this matter with the vet. We asked if she would talk to the vet as it was already four hours into this and the dog was suffering with another UTI that this office had treated before. Jacqueline talked to the vet, came back and actually smiled when she said we'd have to wait there at the office for "at least" another hour. She informed us that "they have their rules" and they will follow them and we would simply have to wait. We noted that when we asked for the records to get the dog treated at another vet ASAP, she appeared happy and was sarcastically sweet and with a song in her voice said "Oh, OK" as she handed over the records. What's that phrase?.... Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. We liked the doctors there but one must be willing to put up with the likes of Jacqueline and one must submit to their "rules." It is a great facility and they have great coffee.
