Dr. Fasth is an amazing vet! I drive about an hour to get to her office! She is that good. I took my doberman for her ear cropping she walked me through the whole process, she's very knowledgeable on the breed. & her skill. I get so many complements on my girls ears.
Very let down. I was way too nice in my previous review. It has taken me a year to digest what happened and decide what I want to say. Such a nightmare trying to take care of your beloved pets when a third party is involved trying to make money off you all while being super conservative to protect themselves from any sort of liability. Very paranoid selfish delivery of care. I feel like a fool. I talked this place up thinking they were better than the average vets office. Spent over a year taking my dog Yugg here for his care. He had Wobbler's disease, cancer, and arthritis on top of just being an elderly dog. I spent that year trying to work with them to prepare for his impending death. I tried to express my wants and concerns to the vet, which were that I wanted him to die at home and I wanted him to be comfortable. I thought we were on the same page but when the time came, they failed to help take care of my precious precious Yugg and he died a miserable painful death in my living room. It is BS that they won't provide hospice care for your animals when you have been a long term customer and patient. It is BS they won't give you drugs to put your animal to sleep at home without them involved. It isn't rocket science. Nobody wants to or needs to have a third party involved in such an intimate moment of you and your pet's life. They don't have an emergency contact number. THeir emergency advice for you is to take your pet to a ridiculously expensive 24 hr hospital to see a vet that doesn't know you or your pet. Shouldn't your animals regular Dr be reachable? If Dr's want to have this much control they need to be reachable at all times or the rules need to be changed so the average person has greater access to medication. A liability waiver would could solve this problem. I actually took Yugg in the day before his death because I knew he was close to dying and asked them to give him some strong effective pain pills just in case. Well they didn't want too and Yuggy paid a miserable price. Me, being just an average person predicted what was going to happen and they didn't. That says a lot. Basically if your dog is real sick or has something moderately complex to deal with they won't help. If you just need shots and conservative "let's wait and see" care then they can do that. To be honest a 12 year old with internet access could provide as effective and up to date care as your animals will get here. But that goes for all the current veterinary offices I have seen. Medicine for people and for animals is a inflated manipulative scam. A word of advice is find a vet you can see eye to eye with and don't stop looking until you find them. The consequences of not doing so can cost your beloved family member so much. None of us know when our pets are going to die but get prepared ahead of time and have a fool proof plan. If you don't, you may end up living with a lot of horrible regret like I am. Know I also accept responsibility for my part in letting my dog down but that doesn't excuse their part of this. I should have seen the signs that they weren't going to give the needed help. I absolutely hate having to be like this, but things need to change. And what I am supposed to do? Say nothing? Would you speak up if this happened? Giving us morphine to have on hand(you can give rectally, sublingually, or inject in a catheter) or the drugs to put my animal to sleep could have save my animal the most horrible pain I have ever seen a living being experience. The benefit would have far outweighed the possible harm. I am done talking about this. To Yugg I am so so forever sorry. I hope whoever reads this just considers what I am saying, and it helps them better get better care for their animals.
This is a vet my rescue recommended- I thought I would switch vets after his initial appointment but I really liked how helpful and nice they were so my pup Oskar and I are staying. :) His neutering went very well.. I highly recommend Dr. Francis and the staff of Francis Veterinary Hospital. Next time my cat needs some love this is where we are coming for him too ! Thank y'all for keeping my family happy & healthy.
Mona & everyone at Francis is great. I've taken both of my Dobermans to her to have their ears re-wrapped each week. It is clear that she really loves animals & takes great care of Duke & Layla when they have to go in. I wish it was closer to where I lived b/c I would take them there for their regular vet appts, unfortunately it's just too far away for us.
Definitely one of the best vet experiences I've had. I called for an appointment and they were able to accommodate me even though they were booked. Dr. Fasth is very knowledgeable and helped put my cats at ease. Francis Veterinary Hospital is the only place i'll take my pets from now on.
