I cannot say enough good things about this practice! I adopted my dog at the ripe old age of 6 and immediately found Dr. Howard. He has been her vet ever since, and the level of care and love he shows her is absolutely remarkable. She is now nearly FIFTEEN, and at every visit he sits with her and talks to her like they're old friends. I recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a vet who is kind and caring and doesn't price gouge the customer.

Dr. Howard, his partners, and their staff are quite simply phenomenal. We've been taking our border collie, Otto, to Dr. Howard for years, and are constantly amazed with how easily he relates to our dog. Otto recently escaped from the backyard and wandered around downtown Denver for a few solid hours. We found him with a big gash on his head, soaking wet from the rain, and more than a little scared. The folks at Alameda Veterinary Clinic fit us in immediately, and gave him the attention he needed. Over the past few years, we've moved closer to downtown Denver, but still keep coming back due to their (dog) bed-side manner, their no-nonsense recommendations for our pup's health (no sales pitches here - they tell you your options, but tell you straight up when a particular procedure isn't necessary)...and their obvious love of animals. Phenomenal people. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We were new to the area and looking for a great, caring and affordable vet for our cats and dog. Alameda is wonderful! All of the Dr.'s there are amazing and caring. We've had annual shots as well as teeth cleaning. Couldn't gush more about them!

Dr. Howard, Dr. Wilks and the staff are wonderful. Before I settled on Alameda I visited a couple of veterinary practices closer to my house, but wasn't happy with them. I have been using Alameda for more than six years for a varying collection of dogs ranging from a high of 4 to a low of 1. The docs are very hands-on, getting down on the floor to examine my big dogs (rather than trying to put them up on an exam table). They are honest, compassionate and understanding, and they truly listen to your concerns and questions. I have referred friends to this practice and will continue to do so.

I have been taking my pets to AVC for 16 years now. The doctors are very competent and compassionate. The staff is excellent and super friendly. AVC is a great general practice and will always steer you right.
