Dr. Barnes and his staff are excellent. I have taken my kitties to see him since 1997. (3 have past on, we currently have 3) Dr. Barnes and his staff always treat me and my cats kindly and have been very comforting during the loss of our furry friends. Dr. Barnes is very knowledgeable & caring. After I moved to Littleton and now to the mountains, I still drive my cats to Lakewood to get checked out by Dr. Barnes.

Dr. Barnes & his staff are wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about them. They truly care about every animal that comes in their doors. Dr. Barnes is straight forward about what he feels is best for your pet based on his years of experience & his understanding of the love you have for your pet they love animals & puts them first! His office is more like a pediatrician's office; they understand our pets are family. Dr. Barnes has gotten on the floor with my dog to examine him; he has helped me over the phone with suggestions on behavioral issues. He saw my cat in an emergency situation saving him. My dog was stolen & was brought to his office to be chipped Dr. Barnes & his staff acted quickly & cared about my dog as if he was each one of theirs. Dr. Barnes may of lost a customer because he choose to do what was right (getting my dog home to us) I believe they were almost as happy to have him returned as we are. His care is top notch, his ethics are the highest, and he expects the same from his staff. His pricing is extremely fair & I have never been charged for unnecessary services or pushed into any services. 10 STARS!

I have been using Dr. Barnes over 3 lifetimes (3 of my beloved pets) or since 1995 and with each one he has handled them with the utmost care and was most sensitive with the two who passed. He is still handling the care of my cat and now my newest rescued pom. He has always been exceptional and yet keeps his costs reasonable, by not having a "fancy" building or outlandish office decorations, like some places I have seen in the past. All of his office assistants and any interns he has had were very kind, respectful and professional. I would (and do) recommend him to any one I meet. I would ignore that one bad review, as I'm sure this was just one of those unfortunate off chance allergy cases. Dr Barnes is truly caring, kind and respectful, along with his entire staff.

Barnes Veterinary Services has seen all of my animals my entire life; all of my family members use him. He is VERY KIND and understanding on all types of issues. He personally checks in with me just to see how my animals are doing every few months. He has his staff call for normal shot updates and news but when it comes down to this he just calls me out of the blue just to check on us. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE. Everyone is kind and considerate and they make you feel extremely comfortable no matter the case.

I used to take my cat to Dr. Barnes. I thought he was a good guy, I just didn't doubt his skills like I should have. I brought my cat in to have his teeth cleaned, and he died. I had even had them do preliminary labwork to make sure of the proper doses. They say he had a bad reaction to the tranquilizer. They hadn't even sedated him yet or begun the procedure! My cat wasn't old, and was in excellent health- I took complete care of him! As if that wasn't bad enough, when Dr. Barnes called to tell me my beloved cat died, he gave me details that I didn't need to hear. He was completely insensitive, and didn't even want to talk to me when I came in to take my poor cat home. It was a nightmare that I'll never forget. It makes me sad that he's still in business. There are better places to go!
