5 Stars for Banfield in general. We have saved hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars with the wellness plan on our 2 dogs. 2 Stars for this location. They have one FANTASTIC Dr., but the others are mediocre at best. Most the rest of the staff is rude and doesn't seem to care about you or your pet. (This is not the case at all locations, but this one has particularly poor customer service). You will absolutely wait twice as long as you need to wait at this location, regardless of what your visit is regarding. I still love Banfield, but I'll go to another location if the good Dr. isn't available.

On November 23, 2013, we brought our 2.5 year old Havanese dog to Banfield in Petsmart at 8500 W Crestline Ave in Littleton to get a teeth cleaning. The doctor called shortly after her arrival to ask about her liver condition and see if he could run a test for $60 to see if she would be able to process the anesthesia from the procedure. He stated she’s had this liver condition since she was a puppy according to her charts. Banfield is the only vet we’ve ever taken our dog to and my wife and I have never been told about this liver condition. Our dog had her 6 month checkup in October. We were told she is in perfect health and only needs her teeth cleaned. NOTHING was brought up about her liver. The doctor ran the test only to confirm the liver problem and told me we couldn’t have her teeth cleaned until we got the liver condition under control and was going to get me info for a specialist. If our dog, which is like a child, has ANY issues, we deal with them ASAP and with the best care because we love her. If we knew prior to this about a life threatening liver condition, we would have done everything possible to get her care and not waited 2 years. When my wife went to pick her up, she was told it would be $118. She refused payment and asked to speak in a more private setting. After being told again that we know about our dog’s condition because it’s in the chart, the doctor told her I agreed to the test and that she owed us money. My wife again refused and the conversation became heated. She was told to stop harassing the staff and was told to leave. She was then informed that we will not be accepted back to that Banfield and we will be sent to collections. When I called the main company to stop our recurring payment and file a complaint, I was told I still owed for 4 months on the 12 month contract I signed. We are being over charged for a $60 test and will always refuse payment and now will refuse to do any business with Banfield. The results we received do not adhere to the “Quality” or “Responsibility” of Banfield’s 5 principles. Banfield and it’s doctors have an obligation to inform clients of their pets conditions and needs in a timely manner. Not 2 years later.

Simply called to get a quote on first puppy shots, first lady Heather was some what helpful but waited 8 mins just to talk to someone. finally quoted me $20 to $25 dollars then asked if i could hold real quick. puts me on hold for another 2 min another lady picks up very rude ask me who i holding for says heather is busy what could she help me with. I went through the whole thing again and as rude as she could states that would be over $100 i asked why what the difference was she said she didnt have time to explain do to the were very busy i hung up. Total rip off!!! Don't go here!!! We took a cat and dog and got on the puppy and kitten plan. When they spayed our cat, we went to go pick her up there was a large lump where they had stitched her up the vet pointed it out to us. The lump swelled over night we took the cat back and they charged us for blood work and medication for infection! As far as the puppy and kitten plan go, once you pay for all the extra stuff they charge you for its more expensive than paying a vet as you go. One more thought on the stitches, THE WORST STITCH JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN On animal or human. (I am an RN on a surgical floor).

Horriable place. After my dog started vomiting from the pain meds they gave her they thought it be best to run blood test and take X-rays 400$ bill and they still would not admit that it was there drugs that got my dog sick in the first place. Never again will my dog be seen here
