My experiance was not so good. I took my dog in because she had some pain in her rear legs and was caughing. Took her in around 9am. didn hear back untill i called them back at 5pm. And they said they would call me back. they said she had Pancreintitus and would be there overnight. She is very sick they said. We will call you in the morning. Next day no call. Finally, no they didnt call i called them in the afternoon and they said they would call me back again. Said she is very sick and has to stay the night again. So i had to ask them how much this was going to cost? " O nobody has told you how much this is giong to cost?" No im having trouble getting anybody to call me or tell me anything. " We will call you back. No nobody called me back again! I couldnt belive it. So i would wait 5 more hours then call them back. " O we are very busy. Now they gave me a price and said she would be there for a few days. So after all this and 4 days at the vet they told me to come get her and see how she is for a night at home. I bring her back for one final lab test. I go to pick her up and the Doctor tells me her labs have not changed in 4 days of flushing with IV. She may have pancreintitus, or she may be pre diabetic. She has an enlarged heart and arthritus in the hind quarters. Its 1000$ dollars for a none diagnosis? Ok what ever. I understand pancreintitus is hard to verify without a biopsy. But you said she had it a few days ago? Now they dont know what is wrong with her. So they give me meds for her pain, her heart, her tummy. And the girl says to me ,we charged you for a case of special dog food but there are only 4 in there. Guess we owe you a few cans. O and let me guess you going to call me when you have those cans of food you charged me for? Because of your excpetional comunication skills you have displayed over the last week? Its been 4 months and they never even called to see if she was ok? Or tell me they have the food they owe me? I didnt give my dog any of the medication they gave me accept for the penicillin. Been 4 months like i said and she seems fine. I feel like i was totally ripped off! I was a dog groomer for 6 years and worked very closely with a vet and this is not how its supposed to work. Now since them the vet that used to be in that building has contacted me to come in for a visit. But not the vet i just saw and spent 1000$ and she was supposedly going to die if i didnt do all this stuff? Anyhow thats my story. If anybody from the vests office would like to contact me and give me the food you owe me that would be really nice. But im sure at this point you cant remember who this is. Im sure this happnes all the time. good luck if you go here. I hope you have deep pockets and allot of patients wating around for them to call you back.

We (all three pets and I) LOVE Neighborhood Pet Care! I've been taking my animals to them for about 7 years now, and am very pleased with the care and attention they give. It's obvious they all really love animals, and they work to make the exams as stress-free as possible. My old, extremely neurotic Siamese cat would even settle down enough for them to treat her. And, when she had to be put down at the ripe old age of 18, they were very compassionate and made the experience as comfortable as possible for both of us. My pup is currently being treated for a broken leg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the bill for the initial x-rays, splinting, cone-of-shame, and all, was extremely affordable. The weekly splint changes have been a quick in and out of the office, and the fee is a fraction of what it cost when I had to get a cast change on my (human) leg! Every time we get a new pet, Dr. Clapp's office is the first stop. I wouldn't trust their health to anyone else.

Neighborhood Pet care is THE place to take your pets for care. Dr Clapp is awesome as is the rest of the staff. They have incredible compassion and I can tell they truely care about my extended family of pets. I have taken all my pets there for years. I was sad to hear that someone had such a negative experience becasue this particular animal hospital is the best in the Dnever Metro area. Bring your animal babies here and you will be pleased with the professional service AND especially the compassionate care.
