Caring, hard-working doctors and staff. My dog had so many health problems. They went above and beyond to help us. They were always so kind and helpful.

Very nice and friendly service. Very professional. I got a free initial check up for my cat as a new client, and brought home some meds to make her feel better. Cannot complain about that!

No longer offers the same quality of service as they did when it was a private veterinary hospital. I have a diabetic dog that nearly died if I had not found a new vet. Too busy to discuss after a glucose test I was told will they will call later - over a month later and I still have never received a follow-up call. Before that another doctor gave analysis after a glucose curve that did not make any sense and I was told to increase insulin by 3 units and return for another glucose test in a week. 1 unit can make a world of difference and low sugar can put a dog in a coma or seizer. Never increase insulin that much at one time. The next week my dog showed a very low glucose reading in the low 100's, the doctor told me it was good news and to keep it up and return in a month. The next reading was very high reading was very high, the one where I am still waiting for a followup call. After a week I selected a new and private Veterinary clinic. Under the care of a new doctor I now have my dog stable, My dog was at 81 glucose units when the new doctor first saw her, way too low for a dog. Apparently she was spiking high to low and could have died. I am back to a privatly owned vet and getting excellent service. If you continue to go here under the new name Firehouse or any other veterinary clinic under this name expect poor service. Firehouse has bought out at least 4 private vet offices and is now owned not by a doctor of veterinary medicine with compassion but by a bunch of business men looking for profit. I have gone to Arapahoe veterinary hospital for 10 years and I have not had any issues until I started to see Firehouse on the caller ID. I have only touched the surface of poor service I have seen.

This used to be a great family practice back when it was Arapahoe. After being taken over by Firehouse things changed but weren't too bad. At first. One by one the staff that my pet and I had come to know and trust were sent packing. New, seemingly less experienced, vets came on board and then it hit the fan. The employee turnover is horrific and I no longer feel comfortable taking my pet to a place where we don't have a chance to get to know anyone. The facility seems nice but comes with a price, literally. The cost of even basic services sky-rocketed when Firehouse took over. Now I hear another giant national corporation has taken over- VCA. None of the wonderful vets are there any more and as far as my pets and I are concerned, this vet is not worth half the cost we would pay.

My dog got into some windshield washer fluid and AVH was the closest to me, my regular vet had me take her to the closest hospital to get a baseline blood draw, they whisked her in without any worry about payment or anything, got the blood draw and even game me directions to the major emergency clinic that could care for her, and hurried me on my way. They put my pet's health first and that is what is important. My regular vet moved out of the area and I am switching to AVH right away.
