Just took our pup in last week for the first time. The place looks a little dated (ok, a lot dated), but you get the impression that they spend their money where it matters (ie, not on pretty cabinet doors). It's clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming, from the get go. We showed up early to our appointment and they took us right in - no wait at all. The vet (Mike? ...I should know this, but I'm terrible with names) was fantastic. Within seconds of opening the exam room door, he was on the floor with Kini (the dog) while still talking directly to us (as opposed to in baby voice through the dog...it happens). He was very knowledgeable and I wound up learning a lot from such a short, well-dog visit. We didn't feel rushed or upsold, and he made sure to check which medication would be cheapest for us before prescribing it. It definitely felt like he was interested in keeping Kini healthy rather than selling us product or services. We've definitely found our vet.

I also have had great experiences with these guys...until recently. They refuse to write me a prescription for some heartworm medication because I was going to purchase it online. I was told it was a quality control issue, but if your first concern is truly my pet, not your wallet, than either find me a generic alternative that you can sell or write me the scrip so that my dog can receive her medication and let me deal with the consequences (and expense) if she gets heartworm, either way, you will lose the $300-500.00/year I spend on my pets because you couldn't see past the $20.00 I wanted to save today. Stupid stupid stupid.

These folks lead with their hearts and truly care about your pet. My dogs almost pull off their leash when we get near the doors in anticipation of the visit, and they are never disappointed, being met with tons of love. It isn't just all fluff though, these folks know their stuff and are the pure professional support you need when things are not going well. They always find time to get you in, coming in early themselves if that's what it takes, and they always research to get you the answers you need. You never feel talked down to. If you are looking for a life partnership for your pet, this would be my first choice.

I went to Animalhouse for the first time today. My cat is straining in the litter box. At my previous vet, I felt they tried to pry every $20 from my pocket that they could get. I was constantly having to review the invoices and dispute charges (And I was on a "plan"). Here? At not time did they try to gouge me. As a matter of fact, they charged me a lower fee because my cat wouldn't go and they couldn't perform the test. I was shocked. A vet that didn't want my life savings. Really? I'm definitely going back!

The staff and Dr. Keith have been EXCELLENT in taking care of the needs of my dogs. Their facility is always clean and their staff is compassionate and thoughtful. My animals have been in the care of Dr. Keith for 26 years! He showed personal concern during the loss of my first dog and has continued to show the same concern for my 12 year old Golden Retriever. Definitely a 5 Star facility, staff and Vet.
