I have had both my birds in to see Dr. Chappell for last minute emergencies. She's been wonderful with both of them, making sure they received immediate care and plenty of follow-up. She performed surgery on one of my birds and clearly explained the process beforehand and did a wonderful job with the surgery. I trust her completely with my pets. I even ran late once due to having an accident on the way there and they waited for me with smiling faces.

I have been bringing my pets here for almost 20 years. Everyone is friendly and professional and they do an excellent job. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Chappell and her staff.

I did not have a great experience at this vet hospital. The vet and staff seemed very nice (and I had heard good things about them from others, so maybe it was just an off day). But I brought my bearded dragon in for what I thought were parasites in her feces. I brought a sample of the larvae (?) in with my dragon. When I arrived for my appointment, I had to wait 40 min. to be seen, and they only got me in after I mentioned that I had to be somewhere that evening. The vet looked at my bearded dragon for five minutes; same with the fecal sample. Yes, they confirmed that the sample I had brought in looked like parasites, just as I had said. $95 later (after 10 min. total for an appointment), I was sent home with a $10 anti-parasitic. (So that was $55 for the 5-min. consultation and $30 to tell me what was obvious about the fecal.) They said they thought my dragon had worms. Well, I later took the same fecal to a parasitologist friend, and he said they were just cricket eggs. My dragon had probably eaten some pregnant crickets (which I had indeed fed her). Lo and behold, a week later my dragon has nothing in her feces. No worms, no obvious parasites. I would think an exotics vet would have the experience to identify cricket eggs.

Going to Aspenwing was my first time at an animal hospital. The staff was wonderful! They treated both myself and my furry bunny well. I was very happy to see that my bunny was not nervous or frightened by any of the procedures the staff & doctors performed with him. He was quite content and calm through the whole visit. The staff & doctors are very knowledgeable in rabbit diseases, diet, et cetera. I've only had my bunny for a year and am still learning so it was great to get some advice from the doctor! I was also impressed with how the doctor let me know what everything was going to cost and asked if it was okay to proceed with what needed to be done. That way I was able to make sure it was in my budget before going through with medications and blood work. I will definitely be going there again with any future problems and all other pets I have!
