I cannot believe I am reading these reviews. We have had EXCELLENT care from the loveland location. They always call the day after to check on my pup. They have referred us to specialists when need be, (orthopedic surgery) and always given us options for treatment. Dr. Baker is remarkable and extremely caring as has been my experience with the front desk and tech staff. Maybe some people will always just be negative?

I went to Banfield with my puppy because he was having some issues with allergies. I told them that I had a coupon for a free visit, but by the time I was done I walked out with a $90 charge and a medication I was told to give him. Turns out it was benydryl, and could have gotten that at walmart for a fourth of the cost. The told me that I needed to learn to control my dog and he needed training classes when he didn't want to hold still for them to take his temp. They were rude and even though I had an appointment I was standing out front for almost 20 min. before anyone came out to even check to see if there was someone waiting.

If I could give no stars, I would. The first thing Banfield did was insist we purchase their "wellness plan" because they told us our cat had a lot of issues and we could bring him back to be seen for "unlimited" visits. We loved our little guy, so we continued to bring him back despite the fact that each time, they told us it was something else; taking him off the meds they gave him the last time, and starting him on something new. It was extremely difficult to follow their adcvice, as everyone would give us conflicting advice. Meanwhile, our cat continued to decline, and finally after the 5th visit, a tech admitted that they didn't know what was wrong with him. We ended up taking him to CSU, where we learned he had congestive heart failure and Banfield had put him on meds that were taxing his little heart and ruining his kidneys. We paid cash from then on out at CSU, where our little kitty was well and lovingly cared for by the doctors and students for the last 5 years of his life. Oh, and as far as the wellness plan? It didn't cover anything they did to our cat, AND we had to continue to make large monthly payments on it until the contract was up despite the fact that we never got any use out of it, nor darkened their door again. This plan is nothing but a scam; and the people who work there should be checking out sundries at 7-11, not working with animals. (All but Dr. Morgan, she seemed very nice to us and to our cat - for the 5 minutes we got to see her, that is.) The rest of the time we dealt with incompetent techs and rude desk people. So much for "one-stop shopping," I guess.

We have had pet ins through Banfield for several years and just transferred to the Loveland store. After negligence that led to just a bunch of wasted time we were willing to give them another chance. The next time we went in the nurse refused to tell us how to treat our pet with meds we purchased online and told me they were "no good" and pushed me several times to purchase meds, a different food AND a supplement from them. All the while telling me that SHE was just looking out for my dogs best interests. When I said no she got huffy and brought my dog out carrying him only by his front and not supporting his back end. This is severely distressing as I had made it perfectly clear that my dog had back problems. We will not be going back to Banfield anymore, they were abusive with my dog and just after more money and NOT looking out for my dogs best interests!

I have nothing but good things to say about Banfield. They helped us through the final months of our 14 year old cockapoo's life and were extremely compassionate with us during her last hours as we had to put her to sleep. Dr. Morgan was kind and reassuring and highly knowledgable of our aging dog's issues and we are grateful. We felt like we were always in good hands there.
