The dog had to be put down a month later, exactly as predicted by the emergency veterinarians. She never indicated she could not successfully treat hemangiosarcoma. Suggestion: ask her her success rate with your particular animal and their particular disease before shelling out hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Wanting to save your beloved pet is only natural, but spending hundreds or more for hope, when it is not remotely likely or possible to help the animal, should be the first disclosure made by this office. I have been taking my pets to Jan for several years. She does a great job and obviously cares about the animals under her care as well as the people that bring them in. I have had instances when one of my dogs required a procedure that could not be done in her office and she always provided me with a referral to another vet. I have never been disappointed in her services.
