The vet waited until after racking up a bill of office visits and vaccines and booking a follow-up appointment to have an assistant call me to say that she "would not" prescribe a travel sedative, which I had specifically requested at the onset. But she still wanted to book my cat for a $300 dental cleaning. No thanks, I will find a vet with honest customer service and probably better prices as well. Vet was short and curt through appointment, spending less than 5 minutes with a new client and pet.

By far the best experience I've ever had at any vet. I'm a long time dog owner and recently switched vets because of an awful experience at my last vet. From the moment I brought my dog into the office I was shocked by how different the Animal Medical Clinic was. Rather than put my dog up on a table with a muzzle like most vets do with rottys the entire visit took place on the floor. The vet was genuinely excited to meet my dog. She spent a good 15 mins hugging and praising my dog before she began her exam, which my dog hardly noticed due to the love and affection she was getting. I was not pressured into spaying or vaccinations, rather I was educated and given options. I'm not exaggerating when I say I drive 90 mins to go here. They were highly recommended by our trainer and now I know why. It is nice to see a vet the truely loves animals. I can't say enough. Oh and the visit was far less than I was used to paying, although I would have paid extra for this kind of service. Me and my dog can't wait to go back.

Two years ago, when we first moved to Connecticut, we had a seriously ill dog. She was almost 13 and suffering from Congestive Heart Failure. I brought her in to Animal Medical Clinic and they did what they could to make her comfortable so that we could spend as much time with her as possible in the time she had left. Unfortunately, the next day she started experiencing seizures and we had to make the decision to put her to sleep. The staff was amazing - very considerate and thoughtful. They allowed us to remain with Tag until the end, made all the arrangements for her cremation and knowing how absolutely heart broken I was, followed it up with a card of condolences. Since then, we continued to visit with our kitty, Oreo and our newest family member, a Lab mix that we rescued, Moxie. To this day, whenever we visit, the staff still makes sure that we are not put in the same exam room in which we had to put Tag to sleep in. Moxie adores going to the vet because they give her so much attention and praise. When she had to have emergency surgery on a growth on her paw, she trusted the staff to examine it even though it was clearly bothering her. It's very rare to find a vet's office that not only cares so much about the pets, but also cares about the people that love the pets as well.

I was a loyal customer to the Animal Medical Clinic for many years. My family had used all of their facilities, from the boarding facility to the veterinary services. I had taken both of my dogs to the grooming facility, as I had done in the past. When I picked up Penny, my lab/golden we noticed her eyes seemed really irritated. We thought this was a temporary condition, however I called the vets' office to ask for advice. They said we could bring her in, however we had just got home an hour ahead of time. Normally I wouldn't post this however my medical issues play a strong part in all this. I have been re-diagnosed with breast cancer have been undergoing chemo and have not been working due to this. On that day I wasn't feeling all that great but we felt that her condition wasn't that bad and it would work itself out. Unfortunately about an hour later Penny was having major discomfort and whining alot. My husband saw her eyes and said we needed to take her to the emergency vet as both of her eyes were literally closed. Upon getting there the vet determined that an irritant had gotten in her eyes (shampoo) and that what was causing the irritation. After putting drops in her eyes and sending me home with medication Penny was fine, however all this cost $170. When we brought Penny into the groomer she was completely fine and when we picked her up it was due to the groomer that she had this problem. I feel that the groomer is responsible for this charge. When I called I spoke with the manager and she told me that due to them 'offering' to see her when I had called they are not responsible for any changes whatsoever. I preceded to tell her that Penny's condition had gotten a lot worse as the night progressed. The manager told me she would talk to the owner and have her call me back or she would because I felt strongly that I should not have to pay this, however no one ever called and I had to call them back 4 days later. I no longer will be affiliated with this vet or ANY of their services because they do not care about the loyalty of their customers or have morals, its all about the bottom dollar. Think twice before giving them your hard earned money.
