Hated It. I wouldn't even give this place one star... but I had to. This hell whole, murdered a perfectly healthy dog. The dog was brought into this vet by a person with no proof of owner ship & had a healthy dog put to sleep! No suggestions from the vet to reach out to other rescues, trainers, etc were sought. They muzzled the dog, held her down & layed her to rest. I would NEVER recommend this place for anything. I feel vets should question why the person was bringing this dog into their vet for the first time to have the dog put to sleep... why didn't they visit the vet the dog has been going to for 4 years... maybe because their normal vet wouldn't have put this dog down. I am disgusted at this practice & they should be ashamed of themselves. The owner is devastated & will be dealing with this tragedy for the rest of her life.

these people are murderers. they killed a perfectly happy healthy dog with no proof of ownership. they muzzled her, and held her down, and killed her without the owners knowledge or permission. this was a 4 year old dog with no medical problems of any kind. she was friendly, and happy. RIP dakota

This is one of the most incredible group of veterinary professionals we have worked with over the past 14 years we had had our girls in our lives. I can't say enough about how talented, compassionate, and knowledgeable the MDs (such as Dr. Stacey Dallas) and staff are in helping our family. We have worked with NVH for the past 4 years and they have helped us with the most difficult choices and situations we have had to make as a family in caring for our black Labradors. Also, the new facility is amazing and I can't say enough about the responsiveness, friendliness, and understanding of each person on staff. Please do not believe the earlier comments as they are outdated since there has been a change in staff since they were written. If you want the best experience in veterinary care, I would highly consider checking them out.

My experience with NVH has been very good. The staff is professional and friendly and the Doctors are very nice. Our Jack Russell has had quite a few issues in her young 5 years and I found that the doctors go above and beyond. I have found they will consult other Veterinary specialists outside of Naugatuck if the situation is not clear cut and need to get another opinion. I really respect that. They will not do anything they are not equipped to do, instead they will refer you to a animal hospital that can, while keeping in contact with them and you the whole time.
