Dr "A" is one of the most outstanding people we have ever met. His love and caring for animals is not something easily surpassed. He has saved the lives of several of our animals which we greatly appreciate. Valley Veterinary has taken excellent care of our 3 Labrador Retrievers, our oldest is 13 1/2 years old and everyone remarks at his vitality and we believe that is in great part to the care given him by Valley Vet's staff and of course Dr A himself. Over the last 13 plus years we have recommended Valley Vet to many people, several we know are very much like us indebted to this staff. If you are looking for a Veterinary service you can find no better service anywhere than Valley Veterinary Hospital!
This is the MOST convenient vet to me and I've called them twice, once about brining my kitten in and now about brining my puppy in. I feel the front desk never gives me a straight answer, especially about pricing. I'm asking simple questions like what an office visit costs and they say between $60-75 for a consultation. When I asked them about spaying they would not even give me a range and said I had to bring them in for a consultation first. The first time I asked about my cat they would not even give me a quote about an office visit. I am highly turned off by this. Just want everyone to know that there are other offices that are not afraid to quote their prices over the phone. I'm not looking for the cheapest vet around, I just want them to be able quote me, even a range, so I know what to expect. I'm a little wary, since they won't quote pricing over the phone, that they are much higher than other vets in the area and just want to pass this info along...especially since this was the second time it happened to me. I really thought I would give them a second chance.
Dr. A is the best vet in the tri-state area. I work in the veterinary health field and I know many vets and this guy takes the cake. He has the biggest heart of any vet I know, but besides that he is also a brilliant diagnostician. He combines eastern and western medicine to get the best treatment for your pet without overloading them on meds. Most of his patients are animals he's been treating their whole lives who have far surpassed the normal life expectancy. He charges fairly and doesn't rip clients off. AND, he teaches veterinary medicine in universities besides practicing it, so you know he's on top of his game. He even has clients from other states who fly into Danbury airport just to see him. I always recommend him to whomever asks me for a veterinary reference.
