If I could give this place NEGATIVE STARS I would (google makes you give at least 1). I grew up in Ohio having dogs my whole life, and going to an amazing vet. I honestly thought that all vets were going to be as awesome as he was. I WAS WRONG. I am very new to the area and just got a new golden retriever puppy. I brought her in for her first check up last week, and was very excited to meet the new vet. When I brought the puppy in, the vet barely even said hi to her, did not pet her, and acted as if she has ZERO interest in animals. As she was talking to me she was looking at the far corner the entire time and would not make eye contact with me. She did not ask me any questions that should have been asked to a new client. Did not ask what food I feed her, did not mention anything about when to spay the puppy, did not care about anything other than getting this check up over with. She did not tell me when to come back for shots. I asked her if it was normal for my puppy to pee every thirty minutes and she just laughed and did not answer my question. I had to ask about flea and tick medicine, and I heard her in the hallway laughing with a coworker because I had asked the price difference between a few. She kept calling my dog a boy. The vet didn't even say bye to me, she just left, without even telling me how to put on the flea and tick medicine. I could go on FOREVER. I was charged for a shot that no one can tell me if my dog even got. I called four times asking for the vet to call me back and they would not call me back for five days. After my fifth call, they called me back and said the dog needed to be brought in for ANOTHER check up at full price! I had just paid for a checkup last week. . Dr. Compton should not be a vet. She does not care about animals or her clients and the entire staff at the front desk don't give a shit about anyone coming in there. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here.

Make it short the little kitten was put to sleep, after he broke his leg few days ago. First visit, emergency room pay but didn't even take x-ray, just told me that his leg is like that because he possibly has diahheria because his rectum was out, because kitty probably has worms Are you kidding me. That is supposed to be a DOCTOR with experience. I mean she looked young but c'monn KITTEN had broken rear LEG. How can you miss it. Today was my second visit. I couldnt believe myself. I mean I am not a doctor and I could tell his leg was broken, therefore today i asked to have xray taken and my fears were assured. It was a broken rear leg, had to put kitty to sleep Either way they should reinburse me my first emergency visit where they didn't do anything but gave me two meds to take home, and the first doctor i seen should get laid off.I can't speak for every doctor there but i guess its time to shop around. BTW I went to Kensington office. Also their surgeon is out so I asked if they have substitute, answer NO. you have to wait or go to some other clinic such is their 24h emergency service. Now if it comes to giving vaccinations, defleaing and grooming, Every clinic can do that. I mean it doesn't have to be the doctor. But all these veterinary so called hospitals all they do is give shots and defleaing. If it comes down to serious care, and real emergency. these fools wouldnt know what to do but they advertise as emergency clinic. So what is the emergency for them? defleacing? or dewarming? because if surgeon out for next two weeks, and no substitute surgeon even exists. how you gonna handle reall emergency, like car accident like in my kitty. I paid emergency fee for having my cat dewarmed. and I can go on and go on.

Just dropped of my dog at the kennel and he was very happy to be going. Every time I go back to pick him up he is always happy and clean and that is how I know he is being well taken care of. Thank you guys for the great care that you provide.
