West Boca Veterinary Center has been really caring to my cat. They love him and they adore him and they always compliment him. The staff is very helpful and attentive every single visit. Whenever we have an appointment there is hardly any wait. It is always a great experience. If you ever need a vet, this is the place!
I have been taking my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Teddy, to West Boca Veterinary Center for the past 9 years, since we moved to Delray Beach. The staff always treats us with kindness and makes us feel welcome, whether we are coming for an appointment or just to buy food or ask a question. I hear a lot of people say their dog is scared to go to the vet, but Teddy is always happy, because they are so loving and gentle. As he has gotten older, Dr. Koenel and his staff have managed his care conservatively, keeping him comfortable in his later years (he is now 14 1/2). If you are looking for a great vet for your pet, look no further that West Boca Veterinary Center.
What a great experience!! I am new to the area, and hadn't needed a vet until today. I called for an appointment for my cat and they saw her the this same afternoon. The front office staff was lovely from the moment I arrived. We were taken directly to the room, and the tech who completed my cat's history was wonderful. He was sweet to her,and incredibly patient. Dr. Haskin was amazing! It is obvious that he enjoys what he does, and truly loves animals. Last but not least, this facility is spotless! Very welcoming, super clean with no "funny" smell you sometimes find at the vet. I'll be back with my dog for her checkup. My animals are lucky to be in such great hands.
I have been very fortunate to find West Boca Veterinary Center. I have a golden retriever that had many issues, from digestive to cancer--Dr. Kuehnel has truly been a life saver. My golden can now enjoy a normal dog's life. Staff at West Boca Veterinary is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this center, the level of care supersedes all others I have experienced.
When I first moved to town I needed a new vet. Based on the Yelp reviews I decided to give WBVC a shot. Even though I was concerned with the current health of my dog, my fist visit was very pleasant. The check in was nice and vet assistants seemed interested in the well-being of the dog. I had blood work and stole work done to try to pinpoint what may be going on with my dog. The vet followed up with the results 4 days later (which is fine), but I missed the call. I returned the call about an hour later, but was unable to speak the Vet. I did not receive a return call until exactly 7 days later. Basically the Vet seems to only call the clients on Tuesdays. Fast forward a month. My dog’s health continued to decline to the point she stopped eating all together. I called the vet and asked if I would be able to bring her in and explained things where not looking good and needed to get in today. I was informed that that would not be possible because they were booked up. I then mentioned that I would need to go to another Vet as this was an emergency and before I could get out that I would need all my paperwork with the lab results the receptionist had hung up on me. I had to call back to finish my request. Bottom line is, the Vet Assistants are very good and caring, but when it comes to the vet, it is business as usual and it seems to be more about the money than the animals. If you are looking for a place to get shots this might be the place for you, but if you truly care about your animal and would like the people treating them to feel the same look elsewhere. UPDATE: I feel it is only right to post an update. After posting my review, even with the vet being off for the day called me within minutes asking what happened and genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of the situation and at the very least offer recommendations for other vets. I had already made arrangements with another vet and everything turned out ok. Several days later West Boca called on a status of my dog. There are times when you can tell there was an obvious laps in customer service and the initial response sometimes fueled by emotion will last. The vet at West Boca was genuine in his response, but by then it was to late for me.
