Several hours after my cat had kittens, I was concerned that their umbilical cords were still attached as it seemed they could get tangled in them. I called Coral Breeze for advise. They told me not to do anything, I suggested that maybe I should cut them because the kittens could get entangled. They told me not to do anything they would detach on their own and the mother would help if needed. I watched the baby kittens until I went to bed and the next morning I woke to them crying, one was dead with the cord wrapped around its neck another had a back leg that was wrapped up and had turned purple. My girlfriend and I rushed the kittens to Coral Breeze where the leg of the living kitten had to be amputated. We were already in tears when the veterinarian started yelling at us asking how we could let this happen. I told her I called them about this the day before and this was a result of their advise. She continued yelling at us as we left crying asking, 'why are you making such a horrible situation worse?' Coral Breeze kept our cats and called animal protection. Their representative came to our house to evaluate the living situation and determined that we could have our remaining kittens back, but I would find out later that I was put on a list and can not adopt animals. This was one of the worst experiences of my life and honestly I don't know how this place is still in business.
Coral Breeze made my dog go DEAF! In April of last year, both doctors were on leave. My dog had an ear infection which he had in the past and was successfully treated with antibiotic pills. A visiting doctor/vet, Allison Pollak treated him. Sharee came out & told me they would give him antibiotics. They put BNT, a wax like antibiotic ball in BOTH ears, and said it would dissipate in two weeks. After going home,my poor dog was shaking his head, rubbing his ears, and was totally confused and could NOT hear me. I called Coral Breeze the next day, and every day thereafter, no improvement. On a re-check, Dr Carmona told me it was a "coincidence". He agreed to call BNT pharmacy and inquire if deafness was a known side effect of BNT. They said it was rare. I went on the BNT site and found at least a dozen dogs & cats that became deaf from this product, and printed out the info for Dr Carmona. He said don't believe what you read on the internet. I, myself called BNT, and they lied and said deafness was not a side effect. I've gotten opinions from 4 other vets, an audiologist, a neurologist, dermotologist, and an attorney. Coral Breeze takes NO responsibility for ruining my dog's hearing. At that time, he was a 10 1/2 yr old sweet, certified companion dog for my elderly father, with absolutely perfect hearing. We are heartsick over the negligence and lies from Coral Breeze. They treated my dog with a product they should have previously investigated, and administered it without my consent. My dog is still deaf and continues to now learn hand signals.
My cat isn't the friendliest creature but everyone at Coral Breeze that handled her seemed very gentle and professional with her. Entire staff was very nice. Cat had surgery and was back to normal within days. Very pleased with the experience.
I took my miniature schnauzer to Coral Breeze because of a sudden outbreak of schnauzer bumps. I arrived five minutes before closing time without an appointment and they were kind enough to examine my dog. Because it was our first time there, Dr. Carmona took the time to get a complete medical history and he wasn't in a hurry to get rid of us. My mini schnauzer is a bit temperamental, but Dr. Carmona was very professional and I was very impressed at how quickly he was able to make a bond with him. He answered all of my questions in detail and gave me advice on how to control and try to prevent this hereditary disease associated with this breed. He gave my dog an oral antibiotic and prescribed a hypoallergenic shampoo. All in all, I was greatly impressed and pleased with the service my dog and I received at Coral Breeze. The clinic’s facilities are very nice and well equipped and the staff is very friendly. I recently moved here, and I am happy to have found such a professional and affordable place to provide veterinary care for my dog. We will definitely be coming back!
Dr. Cintron removed 10 of my dog's teeth without authorization from me. I had told the receptionist do not remove any of her front teeth under any circumstances. They did not care about what I wanted they just went ahead and did it. And she even left my dog under anesthesia longer waiting for my call. Did she not think the anesthesia and removing all those teeth from my 17 year old poodle could have any consequences?
