This is a busy place. I took my Chihuahua in for a teeth cleaning because this vet office had been so wonderful with the dog rescue group I volunteered with, but as a paying customer, the experience was quite different. Dr. Kroll said he heard a heart murmur and so needed to do tests before administering anesthesia. I now think that was a scam to charge more. Bottom line, the charge was over $560 for a teeth cleaning, removing two teeth at $18 each, and when I asked for a detailed bill with a dental chart, the front staff refused. I eventually got a detailed report and a $19.55 refund for pain meds they didn't give me. Bottom line, the care was good but be sure to ask a lot of questions beforehand, especially about the billing.

Dr Scott Cornwell at Viscaya-Prado is an absolute Gem, I took my kitten Bruno (9weeks) in very poorly, Dr Cornwell examined him gave him fluids and advised me. this was a Friday afternoon, he knew how sick Bruno was so he gave me his cell number and checked up on us over the weekend and even offered to open the clinic to administer fluids if needed. After some tests and medication, Bruno is a playful kitten again, I don't doubt that Bruno might have died without Dr Cornwell going over and beyond his duties as a vet. Have been going to this groups for years. The doctors are top notch. The office staff at the Viscaya office are great. The front office staff at the DelPrado office, however, leave a lot to be desired. Maybe they don't respond to cat people like they do for dog people, I just know they are almost always rude and uncaring. From now on if I cannot get into the Viscaya office, I will go elsewhere.

This has been the best experience for both myself and my dog since I have moved to Florida! Excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient care! Thank you for the reasonable rates as well! As far as waiting a little while to be seen - I don't mind. They take the time to explain everything and with the pet to offer and suggest a variety of things. Would recommend to all of my friends and thankful that a friend had made the recommendation to me! I have been to multiple vets charging exorbitant fees for services that were not necessary. Thank you for a straightforward approach to caring for my pet and providing all of the options. God bless you in your work with caring for our pets.

My dogs have been patients here for the past 10 years! We have always received excellent care with very reasonable fees. I have always taken my dogs here for routine care, to be spayed and for vaccines up until recently. We had an emergency visit today as my oldest mini doxie was out on my dock helping my nephew fish... while baiting his hook she decided it looked better for her to eat. She swallowed the bait along with the fishing hook and the line. She was immediately seen and x-rayed which did in fact show the hook was lodged in her stomach and would require surgery to remove. Upon discussion of what it would likely cost, the Dr. could see I was struggling with the financial part of it to which he replied, don't worry we will work with you. I am completely 110% satisfied with the care and concern that my doxie received as well as the peace of mind the doctor gave me not only in the care he would provide, but also in the willingness he was to work out the financial part with me. Most places, if you cannot pay in full you likely will not receive their services. I have always recommended Viscaya-Prado Veterinary over the years and will continue to! The absolute best!!
