I cannot understand any review written here that is less than 5 full stars. I brought them a dog with a unique condition who I thought I would have to put down after seeing four other vets, including another specialist. I've had dogs for decades and consequently have seen my share of vets in many different states where I have lived, and I can tell you that these professionals are truly exceptional. Everyone, and I mean everyone, from the receptionists, to the nurses, to the doctors here were excellent. Dr. Perez is my internal specialist and she is totally awesome. The nurses are unbelievable too, as was the emergency vet that we saw. All were very caring, patient and knowledgeable. In fact, it was my experience that all members of the staff are dedicated, knowledgeable professionals who actually care. They put in the extra time. They call you to keep you updated. They answer the phone right away. You will not be a just number for them. You will not be just a fee. They are absolutely invested in the care of your animal and have the skills to figure things out and plan for the best care possible. I think perhaps the explanation for the negative reviews was that many people do not understand the cost of emergency treatment and were shocked by it. It seems as though the few negative reviews were regarding emergency care cost. In terms of cost, however, every time I was quoted a cost, the end cost turned out to be substantially less. They were always very up-front with me on the financial end of this. I will be moving further south soon, but I will still be making the drive up to Coral Springs for my dog's care. Trust me that it is worth it.
Other reviewers are correct that this is a large, expensive place.... for an ER visit, think at least $750 as a basic number, hospitalization $400 a day, any sort of surgery $2000 basic cost, plus however many days of hospitalization is necessary... some costs are completely outrageous.. they charge $1500 for a CT when a human can get a walk in self pay abdominal CT or MRI with contrast for $400 anywhere these days... over $300 for complete bloodwork. In my case, I was willing to pay for immediate surgery for my dog, they refused to do it immediately, delayed twice, and my dog died waiting for surgery.. This place has a huge staff of Vets with a human level of care possible, but it doesn't count for squat if your pet dies simply through their unwillingness to see you as a priority.
State of the art facility, great service and perhaps expensive, but you pay for what you get for. I really liked the hospital and the treatment both my dogs got. It was pricey, but again, he my dog was back up in no time. Definitely coming back.
Our dog decided to puncture his leg on a piece of broken glass at 3AM and we had to run him in to Coral Springs Animal Hospital after the bleeding would not stop. (I cringed at the thought of what this was going to cost.) The staff there was very helpful and gave a high and low cost estimate so I knew what I was working with beforehand, and to my surprise it wasn't as bad as I thought and actually ended up being the low end estimate. We started going to Coral Springs about 2 years ago after having a bad experience at another Vet and a friend recommended that we give them a try. I was previously under the impression that they were overpriced, but found that they are comparable on all the routine check-ups. We couldn't be happier with Coral Springs Animal hospital, but I do hope my dogs no longer choose to injure themselves in the middle of the night and cause another emergency visit.
The entire staff, nurses, and doctors are all top notch and very personable. It is a large very clean facility with all the best people in their field who know how to give the best care. I am thankful that this place exist and would like to see more positive reviews online about them. Don't believe the negative reviews as that seems to be the only people who post.
