I took my english bulldog puppy in for an exam and i all have to say is Dr. Lera is awesome. I never felt rushed, and he took his time to fully explain different kinds of health problems that this breed has and answered all my questions. He even provided me with his cell phone number is cause of an emergency or any questions. The office is pleasant, and that staff is really nice.

We took our first puppy English Bulldog and our first dog we've ever owned and we were completely blown away by the staff and their services. We shopped around several vets/animal hospitals but Heron Lakes really left an impression, especially on our new baby. We look forward to many future visits to them and hope they stay in our family for years to come. They were so patient with us and explained everything in detail and with assurance and confidence.

Recently moved to Parkland, Fl from NYC and was in need of a vet for our cats & dogs. I got 2 recommendations and when I saw the reviews on google for this business I thought to myself they can't be legitimate no one can have over 40 reviews and all of that are 5 stars - so I tried the other vet (hated them so much) the next time I tried Heron Lakes. OMG these reviews are all true - this place is awesome (and i know vets because i have pets with chronic disease that needs constant monitoring). The staff is warming, welcoming, and friendly. The Vet Tech is personable and knowledgeable. The Doctor is caring, educated, and is on top of current trends and medicines for the treatment of cats and dogs. They all took the time to get to know both us (the humans) and our pets. The Doctor doesn't try to over medicate or over test the pets (i don't like tons of testing or vaccines) - the Doctor practices evidence based treatments and understands that no two pets are the same and each one can and does require a personalized care based on that pets lifestyle and response to treatment. I have a total of 6 pets (4 cats & 2 dogs) and all of them will now be cared for by Heron Lakes Animal Hospital

I went in for the first time today after a good friend recommended it. I had an exceptional experience. Dr. Lera was great. He was really nice, and took the time to explain all of my options without being pushy, which I appreciated. He wasn't in a rush to get me in and out. He answered all of my questions and was very thorough, documenting the exam, which I also appreciated. The technicians were great, really friendly, and took an interest in me and my pet. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

I had an excellent experience here. I was pretty impressed with the fact that Dr Lera gave me a tour of the whole practice .The staff is very friendly and inviting .I am very relieved that I found this Animal Hospital .
