Best veterinarian I have ever had. Would not consider ever going anywhere else. No nonsense, great prices, very knowledgable and wonderful caring staff!

I called because I got a high quote from another vet, so I wanted to 'shop around.' I was told they'd be out on vacation all week, but I could make an appointment for the following week. Okay, I said. I showed up late for the appointment, true enough, but it was just to drop off the paperwork for the doctor to review. I wasn't told to bring my pet, just the papers. The woman at the desk refused to see me, even though she was obviously not busy. She wanted to schedule me for the following week. They obviously don't need my business, because they made zero effort to help me. As luck would have it, I found a hospital on the way home that scheduled me an appointment for tomorrow morning, and reviewed my paperwork even though I was a walk-in (I had no appointment). It's also on Hillsboro, just East of Lyons Road.

I have NEVER heard or read a bad review of Dr. Hugo and his wife and staff! They are the most caring and expert group; Doc is a master diagnostician, and he has called me a dozen times over the years after hours when test results return or there is a change in my cat, for better or for worse! I am blessed to have him to turn to, have done so for years and will not ever look anywhere else...no matter how handy, no matter what!

Dr Hugo was my cat's vet for all of her 19 years. When I lived in Miami I drove an hour and a half just to see him in Deerfield. He is always caring and helpful. He has called me numerous times at home when I had a "nervous parent" moment, and he was very supportive when it came time for the painful decision to euthanize my cat at the end. When I decide to get another cat, you can be sure I'll bring him to Dr. Hugo.
