I took my dog Lupin here for his annual exam and dental screening. I was pretty nervous to take him because Lupin's reactions around other dogs are a hit or miss and I didn't want him to cause a scene in the lobby, but I didn't even have to wait. As soon as I stepped in the door they were ready to bring him back to be weighed. I couldn't get all 4 paws on the weigh table so the vet tech walked him around the room a couple times and was able to get him weighed properly. As we walked from the weighing area back to the exam room I noticed that the office was impeccably clean and there was an absolute lack of any animal odors, which I thought was pretty amazing and shows a real dedication to cleanliness and sanitation. Dr. Thibideau (spelling?) and the second vet tech were wonderful. I have been to vet clinics where the techs and vets obviously love animals but have no understanding of basic dog psychology and carry on with high pitched, excited voices and reward jumping up or other bad behaviors with petting because they think it is cute, but thankfully this was not the case at Allen's Ridge. They were friendly and petted Lupin, but did not wind him up into an excited/anxious state of mind which I was very grateful for. Dr. T explained the purpose and necessity of all the vaccines Lupin needed in a way that anyone could understand and delivered the injections quickly and calmly. Again, I have been at clinics where at the first sign of discomfort or resistance by the dog is met with high pitched "reassurances" that just amplify the dog's anxiety, but Dr. T and the tech were extremely calm and efficient. Lupin didn't even flinch through any of the shots or temperature reading (proud mommy moment for me, lol!). As we were leaving, I mentioned to the vet tech that Lupin had heard another dog in the hallway and that I didn't want him to pass it in such a close proximity and she checked to make sure the dog was in the exam room before we headed out. I loved this vets office and truly appreciated their friendly and efficient staff.

I have taken all of my pets to Allen's Ridge Caladesi Hospital. The doctor is wonderful with my pets and the staff is excellent as well. They offer boarding, but I haven't used that particular service.

I came to them for a second opinion when another veterinarian had said my dog had a condition which was expensive to treat. The doctor said he could not find any evidence of this condition. A year later, my dog is fine and this is my primary veterinarian.
