I absolutely love this vet office! They always remember me and my dog when I come in. They are very welcoming and you can tell He truly cares and takes his time every time we come in. He even shared his own lunch once when my pup was feeling sick! I'm so happy I've found a vet office who truly cares and is also affordable. You are your furry friends won't be disappointed.

My first experience at Shanks was awesome .Deidra, the manager was very informative and showed love and respect to my baby, Baby Mas. She is resting comfortably at home after being spayed today and she too only had good things to say about her experience. ( although shes not very happy with me- LOL). Recently I adopted an adult cat who seemed unwell. I'm a grandmother who raised my kids with dogs, cats, rabbits and more. Since moving to Fort Lauderdale from rural Oregon a few years ago, I was very dissatisfied with the vets I had found in Florida. I had the good fortune to hear of Dr.Shank and I am really impressed with the level of care my cat and dogs received. Dr. Shank is a deeply compassionate and kindhearted old-school vet who has been in the business for over 42 years. I could tell he is one of those rare intuitive vets who can sense how much and where the animal is suffering. He does his essential best for the pet with an experienced and gentle hand. He gives you additional recommendations without pushing on you a list of unnecessary and expensive add-ons. His staff are great, true animal lovers who take the time. In addition, the homey venue is exceptionally located in its own piece of gorgeous woodlands, a place you want your pet to be. In my long experience with vets, he gets five stars. Thank you, Dr Shank!
