I never write bad reviews like this, but I had a very disappointing experience here. I moved from Chicago and was recommended to this vet. I took my new Persian kitten Bella in to get fixed. I got a call a short time later saying she had FIP, a deadly condition. The vet proceeded to ask me while Bella was still on the operating table if I wanted to put her down right then or continue with the procedure. I said no, please finish the surgery and I took her home that day. They told me she was probably going to stop eating soon and wouldn't live long. Fortunately, she was misdiagnosed and Bella is still alive today, a year later. She's an energetic, happy, healthy cat. Do not take your pets here!!!

Dr Birken and staff are amazing. We currently take our cat there and are planning on taking our future puppy there as well. A+++ service and staff. Highly recommend.

My first trip to Victoria Park Animal Hospital was when I thought it was an Emergency center. I arrived with a stressed dog who had managed to get into some kind of toxin having seizures during lunch. Dr Birken was on the way to her own eye appointment and turned around and came back just to treat my dog who she had never met and was not a regular patient. At that point i was sold. My two dogs have been there for check ups, for shots, for teeth cleaning and surgery. My female was spayed and it we were sent home with detailed instructions for care and everything ended fine. The whole staff are friendly, talkative and really care - they ALWAYS follow up with a phone call.. Even when we left the are permanently and I had a minor emergency the day (they took an appointment for the same day!) before the move they called me to make sure everything was ok - whether they needed to talk to a new vet. I would highly recommend the office. Everyone is professional and they truly care. They do whatever they can to fit you in - the front of house has stayed the same so obviously something is working well. My two scotties will miss having them close by.

We are in town traveling on our boat and needed to get our dog current on vaccine's in order to get him into day care. Victoria Park staff and Dr. Birken are great. The place is clean and professional. Our pooch has panis (an eye condition) and Dr. Birken asked me questions and showed genuine concern that the condition didn't worsen while we were here. If you're in Lauderdale and need a vet, I highly recommend them.

Dr. Birkin and her staff are excellent. I feel very comfortable with taking my very important family member to her.
