I have been bringing my cats here for ten years ever since another veterinarian misdiagnosed a tumor in my previous cat. The people are friendly and caring and even though the waiting room gets busy and noisy, (there is no special cat entrance I know of) the service is still the best and the vets knowledgeable and professional.

I had several great experiences here. I have 2 cats and the one thing I liked was an entrance into the waiting room for cats only. Dogs are on the other side. It's quiet and efficient. No waiting time in a room full of animals. Clean. Timely appointments. Dr. Tapper and his staff are just wonderful. I had to euthanize one of my cats in my last experience, and they made it so I understood the process fully and I could stay with my cat to ease her and send her 'off' in a private room with just moments to say goodbye with the Doctor right there. No long drawn out drama. For her, it was dignified and humane and for me, massive tears, of course, but an understanding staff. I highly recommend Dr. Tapper and this Animal Hospital. My only caveat is to question every charge that might appear on your bill BEFORE any procedures. If you don't feel as though something is necessary, then, tell them right up front. Don't let your emotions get in the way of your wallet.

I had taken my cat to another animal hospital before learning about Emerald Hills, and they took me to the cleaners, insisting I needed tests and treatments for things that my cat didn't even have. When I brought my cat to Dr. Weiner at Emerald Hills, it was like a breathe of fresh air. He was more focused on making my little cat get healthy rather then seeing how many hundreds of dollars I would spend on time consuming tests, just to find out my little girl had ear mites. And you can tell that the entire staff is comprised of animal lovers( which if you have been to the big commercial "animal hospitals" located in the big commercial pet supply stores you would know that is usually the farthest thing from the case). I'm happy to know that my little cat has such a good Doctor and good team to take care of her. At this point she has a better Doctor then I do ha ha ha.

Dr. Tapper has taken care of my family pets for over 20 years. I would not trust them with anyone else.
