The vets here are great and have a huge amount of experience. Were very gentle with my 2 kittens. The front desk staff is a little slow. Always make sure you get to your appointment on time or at least five minutes early to get all the paperwork done.
I loved this place; saved me $200.00 and treated my precious pet with great care! I switched to this vet.
I first came to them in 2008. My cat needed an emergency c section and every other vet I called wanted an arm and a leg to do it. They were compassionate and worked with me to get it done. They were there for my daughter too when her gerbil broke his back and became paralyzed. There has never been a time I went in that I wasnt warmly greeted and every appointment has been in and out quickly. The doctors are so great too. I've only had good experiences over the past five and a half years. Unlikely a coincidence.
The only reason I am giving this establishment 2 starts is because they treated my pets well (as far as I know). I am ultimately disappointed in their customer service. The ladies behind the counter were rude and arrogant to both me and my husband, insinuating on several accounts that we are "poor pet owners". I never had any problems with the veterinarians themselves (in fact, Michelle was my favorite!), they were knowledgeable and very understanding. My complaint is that I was never sent notices regarding appointments, rabies vaccines, or heart checks; but instead, I was insulted time and time again when trying to follow up with the (front of office) staff. Ladies, you need to be more considerate and understanding with customers, be more tactful with your approach and go into each situation with a clear mind and THINK before speaking. Use the filter we all learned about in Kindergarten. I understand you have the animals' best interest at heart (as pet owners, we all do), but never forget that the customer is who pays your bills and puts food on the table for your families. In this economy, rude service to those who PAY you is not tolerated. And because of ridiculous accusations, I have chosen to take my pets elsewhere and will line the pockets of someone else. Made an appointment? Don't have any plans for at least 2 hours afterwards. I'm not sure how the other reviewers were able to get into their appointment on time, but when I had an appointment it always took an additional 45 minutes just to get into the exam room. Then an additional 30 - 45 minutes to be seen. I'm the most understanding person when it comes to emergencies and things just popping up.. but this happening every time I went in is not just an emergency. This goes back to the front of office staff and their inability to manage time correctly, or perhaps its a complete disregard for the customers' time and personal schedule - or both. Making an appointment to wait longer at the office isn't making an appointment - just for your educational enlightenment. I get it, most negative reviews on this site are done by those in haste, prior to thinking things through and after just receiving a poor service. I was a client here since 2010, and have endured this poor treatment because I didn't want to subject my pet to additional poking and prodding (he was seen bi-monthly for a medical condition) and thought it was easiest at the time to suffer through the negativity. Now that I've transferred my animals to another veterinary hospital, I feel obligated to inform others of my experiences, hopefully educate the establishment (if they ever read the reviews) and potentially help them realize what they are doing is not only wrong, but destructive to their business. Why do I care? Because like I mentioned earlier.. I have no complaints about the doctors as they diagnosed and treated my pets with love. But the front of office ladies must be recognized for their inappropriate behaviors.
My family has taken our pets to Shoreline since I was a kid and now that I'm an adult and have my own pet, there's no place I would rather take my pet. They have been nothing short of wonderful. It is easy and convenient to make appointments, and I have never had to wait. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have called in many times with questions about my pet, and they have answered them promptly and without making me feel like I was taking up their time with stupid questions. I would recommend Shoreline to anyone who wants their pet to be treated like family!
