Their prices are competitive but that's about the only good thing they have to offer. I had been using this vet for my dog for a while (saw their ad in mint magazine and their prices caught my eye) but finally switched when I realized the low prices weren't worth the poor quality of care. Every time we had to go in for an appointment nobody seemed to know what they were doing. On one visit I signed THREE different estimates because they had to keep going back and forth adding stuff. Also every time we came it seemed like almost an entirely new staff. Never any familiar faces. I can't begin to imagine their turnover rate. The thing that really pushed me to leave was when I needed to board my dog. I asked to see their boarding facility and was disgusted. The tiny room is in the very back and it's filthy! There are no windows, ceiling tiles were missing/broken, and it's the same room they keep the washer and dryer so the room itself was really hot (because of the dryer running). The dogs are only "walked" twice a day on this tiny stretch of grass out back behind the stores. I'm much happier with out new vet and my dog is too!

We adopted a basset hound in May of 2012. He was in need of updating his shots and neutering. This veterinarian was not only the most affordable but the most thorough and caring. We have been back several times for nail trims, ear flushes and grooming and it is always an easy experience. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. I have recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so.

I'm not one to usually leave bad comments, but this place is a rip-off with terrible customer service. I went here to use their boarding services. They snatched my dog out of my arms and locked him in a room by himself while I filled out pages of paperwork and waited over 20 minutes for the woman to "prepare" my bill. It was upsetting to hear my normally calm dog freaking out & crying. I had spoken to a receptionist extensively over the phone a week before I arrived there. The price given to me once there was more than 4 times the quoted price. They tried to charge me for such bogus items and when I questioned different things, the woman got very hostile so I told her I've changed my mind. She proceeded to shove my dog back at me with even more aggression than before. I see based on their very un-professional response to another customer comment on here, they haven't improved at all. Also, after all that, they continued to solicit to me on a bi-weekly basis!

I was very happy to take my 11 year old kitty "Milo" to this vet. Milo was throwing up for 2 days. I did not pay much attention thinking that he will get better. But it got worse so I called this vet late at night to take an opinion. Vet is very good. He gave me an honest opinion, so I took Milo to him. He gave me all the options and went step by step in his diagnosis. I did not realize that Milo's kidneys were that bad. I had to leave him with them and 3 days. Now I think he is in safe hands. Staff is very nice and doctor explains you in detail why he is running that test and what I needed to expect. I was impressed. I will recommend all of my friends who see my review to just go to them.

DO NOT GO THERE. I took my 6 week old puppy there that is now 4 months old and she was never treated right for worms! I had to take her to a new vet this morning after having severe diarrhea and vomiting. From not being treated right since the beginning, she now has colitits. The new vet was so nice and helpful and helped keep my bill down. Animal Hospital of Hodges over charges for everything!! They took my puppy in a back room to cut her nails one time and she was screaming so badly I had to run back there to get her!! DO NOT GO THERE. THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE!
