What a racket. This place is terrible and is only out to get your money not help your pet. Let me tell you why - I have taken my dog (who by the way is a member of our family and considered my child) here multiple times - this location or another location in Jacksonville. The last time I brought my dog in was less than 3 months ago. At that time the vet recommended glucosamine and an anti-inflammatory. Our dog had been limping off and on for the past year but for at least the last few months we gave her a glucosamine supplement and this seemed to take care of it. At the time the vet made the recommendations she was not having any issues with her leg - no limping or indications of pain. Since we were already giving her glucosamine and she was doing great, we declined to fill the anti inflammatory under the tech's advice that we could come back and get it later if it was needed. Fast forward to yesterday. I come home from work and she is limping terribly. Overnight, she gets worse. Today, she can hardly put any weight on it. I call this location and request to fill the anti inflammatory. I'm told they don't have a relationship with my pet so they will need to see her at a $40 pet exam charge before I can fill it. I explain I was just there less than 3 months ago. I'm put on hold. I am then told they can't fill it because they have to do blood work first in case she is dehydrated (???????????????). I explain they never ordered blood work when it was recommended last time we were there LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO. I'm told she doesn't know why it wasn't ordered because it should have been. I don't know what's worst at this point. I'm put on hold again. I'm told she has to have blood work and an exam because an anti inflammatory can affect her liver and therefore blood work must be performed every 6 months. I explain I WAS JUST THERE LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO. Tech still refuses to fill the ALREADY PRESCRIBED MEDICATION. I would never take my pet here again. It is clear to me that all they care about is getting you in the door so you have to pay them more money. Obviously this is more important to this company than their customers or patients. My dog will have to continue to suffer until me, her and my 3 month old baby can find a new vet who will fit us in this weekend TO PRESCRIBE THE SAME MEDICATION THAT THE VET AT BANFIELD RECOMMENDED LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO. Terrible customer service and ridiculous business practices. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.

This vet misdiagnosed my cat who had a UTI infection and said he had diabetes. My cat was dead in less than a year but a week before he died I took him to another vet and turns out he had kidney disease!! The diabetes diet the Banfield vet and insulin made it worse! I recommend Animal Care at Twin Lakes Center, they will diagnose your pet correctly and not charge you $1,000 to speed up your pets death. I haven't wrote a negative review in my life until now. I will be finding a way to contact Banfield corporate to let them know their vets need to look closer at everything and not just test results. A UTI WILL increase levels of blood sugar I was told.

Very expensive, it seems like they are trying to find something wrong and run possibly unnecessary testing. I never leave with a bill less than 300- 400, even when it was just a new puppy evaluation. :(
