I would never take my pets any place else. They CARE not just for my pets, but about my pets. I use all their facilities from of course the medical, the marvelous grooming service, doggy day care, and when I go away the kennel service. The proof is in my dog, she bounds towards their doors with her tail a-waggin.

We love the staff and vets at Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital. Especially the Grooming Spa. Judi has groomed our Standard Poodle since we got her and always does an excellent job. She always goes out of her way to make sure we are happy with her service. Not only does she do a great job at Cleveland Heights but she also uses her free time outside of work to help Animals in need by donating her time and service to the local Shelter and helping out rescue. I recommend Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital and the Grooming Spa to everyone I know.

The owner was really nice. I did have an issue with a micro chip that was put in over five years ago, and they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure my dog was taken care of. When we were living in Lakeland we always had a great experience at Cleveland Heights. After moving to Orlando and trying several different vets we finally found one that was as caring as Cleveland Heights. Just know that all of the services (loved the groomer) and friendly vets are a rarity outside of this facility. If we still lived in Lakeland I would still be taking my pup to Cleveland Heights.

I would never recommend this place to my friends or family. My family and I have been taking our pets here since the 1980s (when it was run properly). Unfortunately, the son runs it now. Imagine if George Bush Sr. operated an animal hospital and George W. Bush took over. I think you get my drift. No longer do the Core Values of "PAWS" apply here. Now it is "PAW$". Allow me to elaborate, I recently called to inquire about my pet and Sheila was the rudest receptionist that I have ever encountered. She will mindlessly type away on her computer and completely disregard what you are asking. In fact, I had to ask if she was still there. Unfortunately, she was. Her attitude makes it feel like you are inconveniencing her with your silly questions about the health of your pet. If she answers, do yourself a favor and say "sorry, wrong number". However, she's not the only one with phone issues. Dr. Houghton is notorious for failing to return patient calls. In fact, Dr. Kim Patrick promised that she would have him call us back regarding questions we had about our dog's medicine and that was two days ago. I'm sure he will call tomorrow. In Dr. Houghton's defense, there is no money to be made answering patient medication questions over the phone. On second thought, I'll just schedule another office visit to make it worth his time. Next, don't forget to take a second mortgage out on your home if you have the misfortune of bringing your pet in. They will give your pet every oddball test they can think of for the simplest of medical issues. I'm surprised that they didn't give my dog the FCAT while they were at it...better double check my bill. They even suggested we get our pet vaccinated for the H1N1 "Swine Flu" virus...seriously? This place is about one thing and one thing only...$$$$. We can never get out of there without spending over $100 and our pets are healthy. Lord have mercy on someone that has an ill pet. Additionally, we got a lecture about how bad it was to buy the cheaper but equal alternatives to REVOLUTION at Wal-Mart. According to them, it has not been tested to be as safe or effective as the REVOLUTION that they offer there. I wonder how they can prove that? Perhaps the highly trained staff at Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital apply the various flea medicines to themselves once a month and record the data they observe. It would explain their job performance. Everything they do or offer is so over-priced. Trust me, compare their prices and quality of service to Christina or Kathleen Animal Hospital and you will see. Don't just take my word for it, Google the other two clinics and compare the reviews they receive with Cleveland Heights. Oh, if you're a senior citizen, Christina Animal Hospital recognizes that you probably live on a limited income and honors your years of hard work with a 10% discount. Cleveland Heights actually discontinued their senior discount. Sorry, grandma. You'll have to do a lot more than a lifetime of hardwork and dedication to be worthy of a discount at Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital. Last but not least, call and inquire about their world-famous pet boarding that includes a television in the room. Seriously, do it. You will laugh like you never have before at the price they quote you. Not to mention the fact that they have an actual TV in the room with the pet!!! I wonder if they provide a remote control? If they do, the fee will show up somewhere on your bill below all the tests that they run to verify whether your pet was a cat or a dog. In conclusion, I would avoid this place completely. The service is terrible and the vets are clueless. On a positive note, they have an awesome antique style decor and a great big TV for you and the receptionist to watch while you are waiting. No wonder Sheila doesn't want to be bothered. I would be rude too if someone interrupted me while I was busy watching TV.

We always have a pleasant experience at Cleveland Heights. The vets and their staff are always very friendly and make sure we have an understanding of everything taking place. Our bills have always been less than we anticipate. We feel very fortunate to have found Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital!
