When I moved here I took my dog for her visit and everything went well, though I thought it was expensive (but who was I to know prices). When my dog got sick he recommended emergency surgery for the next day that was gonna cost $1900 or my dog "was going to die". I didn't want my dog to die obviously but I didn't have that much money! The same day I took my baby to Coral Springs Animal Hospital for a second opinion where I was told my dog was sick an needed surgery but was in stable enough condition and it didn't need to be emergency. My dog was scheduled to have surgery for two days after and the bill was $900. I am SO happy I wanted a second opinion. I saved $1000 and I wasn't mislead into making a rash decision that would leave me broke. ANOTHER bad experience I had came from a friend I recommended to this doctor. When she took her puppy for a regular checkup she asked Dr. Sela how much it was going to be at the end of the checkup and when she told her she said she did not have that much money. He then asked her how much money she had on her and where she lived! (as to see if she lived in a nice or a poor area). She said she only had $50 on her (she lied by the way) and that's what he took! He charges you the highest amount of money to see if you fall for it and if you don't have that much, he negotiates or changes the price! You can't charge different prices for different people! Go with what others said and STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! I wish I had read the reviews and took my dog somewhere else. No wonder there was no waiting line and no people in the parking lot...

I've taken my mom's dog here once. We had an appointment and was on time but still had to wait an extra 30-45 minutes. I wasn't busy that day, but what was the point of an appointment if they were going to make me wait longer.

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Sela for so long I have lost count of the years. We love the fact that the office is always clean, you are usually the only patient in the office with Dr. Sela and the staff as opposed to other offices we had used where you get there and the waiting room is teaming with animals. Dr. Sela and the staff are amazing. They are so good with my dogs, especially now that they have hit the geriatic stage of life. We, unfortunately had to put our male aussie to sleep in January of 2012 and could not thank Dr. Sela and the staff enough for their understanding and compassion during this most difficult time. We continue to take our female aussie to see Dr. Sela and she loves him. She also is now in the geriatric stage of her life. Since she is now blind and having some senior issues with arthritis, Dr. Sela gets down on the floor with her rather than raising her up on the table/scale. We are in the process of relocating an hour north of our current home and even tho it will be a drive, we are still going to make it to bring Mia to see Dr. Sela. Dr. Sela and the staff and Gentle Vet treat both us and our Mia as if we were part of the family and have always been there to help. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

DO NOT COME HERE! The Gentle Vet is NOT gentle with your wallet or pet. Your attention should IMMEDIATELY shift gears when walking into the Gentle Vet. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PATIENTS OR CARS IN HIS PARKING LOT. WHY? Dr. Ehud Sala is not a vet, he is a scam artist. Sure he charges you nothing to see your pet. But during your pet examination he misdiagnoses your pet and charges you EXPENSIVE diagnostics well in the $300-900 range for blood work, xrays and pathology tests. After the tests come back, he still has no conclusive diagnosis and recommends further diagnosis. From calling him for more information he states he is too busy to help you and that you should bring in your pet if you want to talk to him.Please, please do not bring your pet here if you love them. He misdiagnosed our pets and we had to go to another vet that stated there is nothing wrong with our pets. He is just a scam artist and looking to get you in his doors cheap at first then charges you for everything for no reason. Highly unprofessional and at the same time has very foul odorous breath.

I just visited my family in Margate and my dog got very sick vomiting and so on... And I went to Dr. Sela's office and he took wonderful care of me and my dog who is feeling fine after the gentle and good treatment he received
