I first came across this hospital when my dog got hit by a car. I called before coming in and was told that they were closing but would wait for me and my pet. Everyone was very attentive and knew how to handle the situation. They took great care of my Buddy during his hospitalization and called me regularly to give me updates about him. One thing I love about Ferreira Animal Hospital is that you will never be surprised at your bill. They give you a quote when you are there, and in my case of having to leave my pet hospitalized, they called to approve any additional treatment Buddy needed. They called me the day after he was sent home to check on him and again a week later to see how he had been doing. They definitely know how to keep up with their patients! Because of my great experience during that difficult time, I went back to try them out for vaccines when my dog was due for his rabies. Needless to say I never went back to my old vet. Buddy and I are frequent visitors since he does their laser therapy sessions for the pain caused by the car accident. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable and they are always willing to help. The facility itself is always clean and very modern. My only regret is that I did not know about them sooner. I highly recommend this hospital!

Worst place ever. I boarded my 2 dogs for 3 nights. They first requested a clearance from their regular vet to make sure they had all their vaccines and stuff. That was a full day before leaving the dogs in their care. When I went to leave the dogs, they told me the dogs were missing a vaccine and they had to undergo a physical examination. and that they were going to charge me for it. When I asked why they didn't tell me that before, because it could have been done with their regular vet, they say "the person who makes the calls did not come to work". They also told me the dogs will have to be groomed and their nails cut before they were returned to me. I asked not to and they told me it's their policy, they can't return the dogs without grooming and nail cut - and they were charging me for it. I was time pressed and had no other choice. I had to provide enough dog food and their beds. One day later i get a call saying one of the dogs was vomiting and that they had to do X-rays - mind you, my dogs were in perfect shape 24 hours before. And they were charging me for it. half an hour later I get a call saying that the x-rays had not been enough, that they needed a contrast x-ray - i told them i wasn't paying for that. When I went to pick my dogs up, they were HUNGRY, DIRTY, with LONG NAILS and I had a huge bill to pay. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. IT"S A RIP OFF!!!

Not many people understand the love my husband and I share for our animals. When it comes to their care and well being, no matter what it takes, it will be the best we can possibly give them. We travel from Cooper City to Ferreira Animal Hospital because we feel like family, and our boys are treated as such. Dr. Ferreira is a knowledgeable, fun, energetic and amazing vet! From the first moment I met her when she got down on the floor to play with my big boy Buddy and little man Cooper, I knew we were in good hands. The state of the art facility allowed her to perform stem cell therapy on Buddy after being diagnosed with hip dysplasia. When we had to bring Buddy in for emergency surgery, there was never doubt that Dr. Ferreira wouldn't do everything she could to pull him through. Buddy is now jumping up as high as my shoulders when before he had difficulty walking. Cooper, our 10 lb doxie, had to have teeth removed and fistulas continue keep coming back, I was hysterical. To this day we are still working on his oral issues, and she won't stop until he's 100%. The smile she gives them when we walk through the door makes me feel more at home than at my own doctors office. If we could give this hospital and its staff 10 stars we would; not because it looks good on yelp or anywhere else, because they deserve it!
