I am so happy that I have found an amazing vet, even if I have to drive 30 minutes to get here! I brought my dogs to Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital for their annuals and dental cleanings last year when I lived in the area. Their prices were very reasonable and the vets were extremely knowledgeable. When my cat fell ill a couple of weeks ago, I made the mistake of trying out a vet in the Avalon area, since this is where I have recently moved. The vet quoted me $1,900+ for an exploratory surgery since he thought he had an intestinal blockage. This price was extremely high, so I decided to make the drive to Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Dr. Bayer saw my cat and within twenty minutes had diagnosed him with an intestinal blockage and given me an estimate for everything (exam, bloodwork, x-rays, surgery, hospitalization, meds to go home). That estimate was $656... one third of the price that the other vet had quoted me! Dr. Bayer fit him in for surgery that same day and I am happy to say that after two days of hospitalization at their clinic, my cat is as healthy as ever! Exploratory surgery can be very challenging and I am so happy that I left my cat in the hands of Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital. He just went in today to get his sutures out (which a vet actually handled instead of just a technician) and he has already gained a pound since his surgery. Throughout this process, I have worked with three of the vets at Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital and I can attest that all of them are extremely helpful and accommodating, never once acting as if they were too busy to answer my questions, though the lobby at this clinic is always hopping- which is a sign to me that this is a great animal hospital!

I have been going to Hunters Creek since 2008. Me and my many animals have always had excellent service there. Even if I found a different place I wouldn't go. I absolutely love this place and all its staff. I have had every kind of reason to go here... everything from a simple allergy condition to have to help one of my loved ones move on to a better place. They absolutely love what they do and have much love for all the animals.... I highly recommend this place to everyone and have recommended them to all my friends.

On vacation from chicago and puppy got sick...Dr Vega and staff were great and very friendly.!!!

My dog was given medication, twice, that he should not have been given. This is dangerous for a dog, not to mention I wasted $50.

I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. I've been to many vets having mostly rescues for pets and moving around a lot. They helped me get through one of the toughest moments of owning a pet. From the techs to the admin staff and the vets themselves (I mostly saw Dr. Vega) they are kind people, and had to put up with me and my strange requests and pets and still remained kind. Prices were decent too. I had one cat's whose surgery cost me over $1k at another vet, while a similar surgery plus the actually meds and such cost almost half that here. I will never forget what they did for me and Jinx, I recommend them 100%.
