I had nothing but positive results from Minton Animal Hospital, Dr Hemingway and his staff. My dog suffer from liver disease and Dr. Hemingway has put him a treatment program that has shown positive results while avoiding the alternative invasive procedures other recommended. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The Office Manager is caring and knowledgeable. Thank you for caring for my little one.

Dr. Scott has been great since the first time I took my dogs there. I would recommend him to anyone who wants their pet to be taken care of well and at very reasonable price. The entire staff has treated my dogs with care and they continue to give me reassurance on the quality of their work. Thumbs up here!

I would not recommend Minton Animal Hospital to anyone. We took our cat there a few weeks ago for an annual checkup and rabies shot. We requested that she be tested for feline leukemia. The tech administered her the feline leukemia vaccine BEFORE testing her. During a follow up phone call, the tech blatantly lied to us stating that we decline both the feline leukemia and Bartonella tests after receiving an informational handout. We NEVER received this handout, nor did we decline either test. We REQUESTED the test. We never would have had our cat vaccinated without testing her first. A day after our appointment, our cat started sneezing (several times per day). Over the next two weeks, she became very lethargic and would not eat. Regrettably, we took her back to the same vet. They diagnosed her with a "virus" and had a fever. I have no doubt that this virus was caught from their office during our first visit. At our second visit, we also expressed concern that our cat was given a vaccine without being tested first to Dr. Hemenway. Dr. Hemenway's was that "he was not responsible for his techs and he trusts them to do the right thing". He took no ownership, nor cared about our concern. Additionally, Dr. Hemenway does not offer up much information during exams. If you ask a question, he will answer, but he's not very friendly. We will not be returning to this office. I question their professionalism, sanitation, and honesty. And on a side note, they are way over priced. We are willing to pay more for good service, but this is not good service. I strongly recommend looking around for a different vet.

In a nutshell: excellent customer service, very friendly and caring folks, and price was reasonable! It looks like there aren't any recent reviews here. I wanted to mention I read the older reviews and checked out the BBB report. These made me hesitate; however, everything went extremely well! I researched Minton Animal Hospital to get our kitten spayed. Each time I called on the phone, I was treated well and had all my questions answered. Each time I visited the place, same thing. I received a written estimate of all costs broken down, and I was told which ones were optional and could be substituted. Finally, we took the kitten in for surgery; no problems. We paid when we went to pick her up. No problems with payment or charges. When we had questions afterward, they were very polite and helped us as much as possible over the phone and when we stopped by.

I went in here to see if they could help with my dog when she had a problem with her leg. I must admit the staff were very friendly and helpful but the price estimate that I was given was very expensive compared to other vets. I dont think that the other people who reviews on here have checked many places for prices. They have a $46.00 office visit fee which is 10 to 15 dollars more than other vets in the area and their prices for other services was higher as well. I'd suggest that you look around before you spend the extra cash here.
