One should NEVER make arrangements on the phone for an animal family member while sobbing in the car in a store parking lot. I only know what was said was did Holly want me to wait outside while my dear old dog was put out of his misery (I said yes). Online selections and payments would be a better choice. Pet Angel is Shockingly expensive. My dog was treated with dignity and kindness immediately after dying. I received his ashes back yesterday and while I knew that it would be upsetting, I became VERY UPSET at Pet Angel. -The box his ashes were in was unlatched and unsealed. My previous 2 dogs (who were cremated out of state) came in SEALED boxes. (And a bill was sent to me) -They had mentioned when picking him up about my receiving a lock of his hair. I said strongly that I did NOT want his hair. So of course they included it anyway, which was very upsetting. I threw it away. -They included a plaster of a footprint which looked nothing like my dog's. I lived with him for 11 1/2 years and cut his nails regularly and know what his feet looked like. I threw the plaster away. I know much of this is very personal but I was thrilled with receiving my previous 2 dogs' ashes, both of which were in sealed boxes and a bill was sent. Those were done while living in different states. I would NOT recommend Pet Angel. They do things THEIR way. Sadly.
The staff is courteous and prompt. There are many options ranging from private cremation to prepared packages to choose from. You can customize your service to your liking with no pressure to spend more. Service is quick - within 72 hours you will have your pet's cremains. My ONLY complaint... If you want to witness the cremation process, you have to pay an additional $150.00. They claim this is due to insurance. They also say they have to "Cool down" the crematory so they can place your pet inside without it combusting in front of you. This is my only complaint, as I've been allowed to directly participate in human cremation with no extra cost. In the end I was happy with their service, and pretty confident my dog was privately cremated.
We had an unexpected death of our 4 year old Siberian Husky Motegi. We took him to Pet Angel and they were very caring and treated our beloved dog with dignity and care. Thank you so much Bill and Staff for caring! Cheryl and Jesus
