The staff is always professional, efficient and pleasant to deal with. The facility is clean and the groomer does an excellent job with my Portuguese Water Dog. Thumbs up.

This is one of the few animal hospitals that allow me to be with my dog during examinations, procedures, etc. so I decided to give them a shot. I've been there twice and have been less than impressed, although the vets are very nice and helpful, they hardly examine the dog, always rushing and everything is about the money. The staff is less than impressive, they all behave like high school kids with a part time job, nice enough but unprofessional. I drew the line the last time I went to this facility and decided to stay outside while waiting to go into an exam room. It was early and I did not have time to take my dog for his regular walk so he was full of energy and playful. I decided to stay outside so he wouldn't get even MORE hyper wanting to play with the other dogs. Well, the staff automatically assumed that it was because my dog was aggressive. WHAT!? People and dogs waltzed in and out and my dog was just laying down by my side the whole time. I own a 1 year old Rottweiler, I have to put up with the people's stupidity created by their own ignorance every single day, but I always expect that if you work with animals then YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER. I will be looking for a different vet and will not recommend Lakeside Animal Hospital to ANYBODY.

The staff in the front is hit or miss, one has to catch the right receptionists on the right days...the only Doctor that I generally ever see is Dr. M. Fernandez, and that has been for at least 10 years (give or take). She is the best veterinarian (and one of the best human beings for that matter) I have had the privilege to know. As long as I have pets and Dr. Fernandez is still in practice, I will continue my patronage at Lakeside Animal Hospital.

I've been taking my dog here for four years and have nothing but great things to say. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, cheerful and easy to work with. I also use Lakeside for grooming and boarding and I have never had a problem.
