We took our cat to Acacia for spaying. This was first time we came to this clinic. It is very pleasant inside, the lobby is large so waiting pets and owners have plenty of space. We talked to the doctor first and he took time with us and answered all our questions. It is our first cat and we are trying to do everything right, so we asked a lot of questions. Our cat was taken to the surgery 30 min after we left and about 1.5 hours later the doctor called himself to inform us that she did well and the time we could pick her up. When we were taking her home she was a bit sleepy from anaesthesia but started playing already in the car. It was a laser surgery, so the scar was very small and instead of stitches it was held together with a special glue, so no stitches removal was necessary later. Also no collar necessary to prevent a cat to chew on the scar. The cat slept in the afternoon and then started behaving like nothing happened. By day two she was begging to run and play with her so much that we did and in the heat of the game she jumped on the box and hit her belly. She laid on the floor for some time and then again showed no signs of pain or discomfort. Over the next two days we noticed the scar has opened a bit at the end, so we called Acacia and brought her for checkup. As our Dr. Stevens was on call, another very nice doctor, Dr. Harmons (not sure I spelled right, sorry for that), looked at her and said no treatment was necessary and the scar will be ok. We asked questions about future care for another 15-20 min and when we left, we were not even charged for this visit. Thank you Dr. Stevens and Dr. Harmons!
