Dr4. Borrego and his staff are awesome. I've been taking my Akita to him since 2011. Definitely Big Dog friendly here.

Very good experience we took one of hubby's two dogs in with skin allergies and ear infection from a preexisting hematoma on ear flap...that had gone down as the body is able to re-absorb the blood clot...previous vet wanted to do surgery...was costly and no guarantee that the problem would be solved. Dr.Borrego said he doesn't do that surgery and that was a confirmation to us from what we had read. He also explained everything well and made us feel like he cared and wasn't out to just make money but to take care of hubby's dog. Everything went well and was reasonably priced. Very pleased to have found this Doctor...recommending him to friends and on my FB page!

Best vet in town! Dr B. is very caring and attentive to my dogs. Office staff is also wonderful. Wouldn't trust my pet's care to anyone else!

I have not actually been to this hospital, but they were happy to answer questions regarding my puppy when she had a reverse sneezing fit. She gets them far too often, and they last far too long. He was more than happy to answer all my questions and concerns regarding my dog in a polite manner, and assured me there was nothing to worry about. Very kind staff. I just may pay this place a visit soon.

We moved to PSL in 2005 with three cats and 1 dog. We went to another vet in PSL who came highly recommended. After a few visits, we felt that it was just a business to the vet and his staff - it seemed like no one there really LIKED animals. On a whim, we went to Animal General Hospital, as we drive by it everyday. It was the best stroke of luck. Our three cats are now gone now due to age and Dr. Borrego was there for every one of them in the BEST way possible. Our 1 dog now has 3 rescued brothers, and Dr. Borrego has treated all of them with the kind of love and care we give them. Recently, we took an extended trip overseas, and had arranged for a pet sitter to care for the kids while we were away. We called the office to let them know, and Doc personally told us that if there were a problem, the sitter should call them and they would take care of it. We left without worrying about our kids - knowing they would be cared for like family.
