Staff is nice but the vet is not My family is from new york and back in NY a vet told us that my dog Charlie had food allergies and just simply stop giving him human food. He was right and his allergy symptoms like itchy red skin went away. then we moved to west palm beach and charlie's allergies were back. So we went to this vet about 2 weeks after we moved here to get some allergy medicine. This guy took one look and charlie and said it was plant allergies -__-. And we were like ... no its food allergies. He was very rude and said "no its plant allergies, he's allergic to the plants here in florida". So I said "fine what do we about it?". Can you believe this guy told me to move to Arizona where the air is dry???? Huh???? Im sitting there like....." we just moved here from NY two weeks ago, why would we pick up and move to Arizona because of our dog has allergies, just give me some medicine". For some reason he kept trying to convince us to move to arizona. When we straight up told him no, he finally gave us some allergy pills, and they actually worked. But then he refuses to give us refills on the pills unless we bring charlie in for an appointment. Why? I understand every now and then but every time? that's unreasonable. Now a year or so later charlie is really in pain. He's whimpering all day long and cant walk for long. He's only 5 yrs old. So we go to this vet again. Charlie was crying in the car but was very scared in the Vet office so he wasnt making much noise. When we went in to see the vet he seemed like he was in a rush and we were wasting his time. We told him the charlie's hind legs seem to hurt a bit and he just went and lift charlie's back legs off the table real high. I didnt like that at all, i just told you his leg hurt why are you being so aggressive and hasty? Then i said he used to jump on beds but now he doesnt and wont stand up without crying, this guy swoops in and forces charlie to stand up. By this point I could tell he was didnt care if he was causing charlie pain. Charlie was so scared he never cried out. So the vet is sitting there like we're lying and wasting his time "i dont know what your talking about. I dont see a problem. Clearly he's not crying so there's no problem". Then he started product pushing and gave charlie a unnecessary blood test to check for heartworms and vaccines. He finally gave us some Prednisone pills. But it's been 2 weeks and Charlie is still suffering and cant walk though i give the pills accordingly. I dont believe this is allergies. Im not going back there im going somewhere else to solve this issue. I wouldnt recommend him.
The doctors are awesome as is the office staff. Not high priced like other vets and they really care about our furbabies. My simba (kitty) is being treated by them and i am very comfortable and confident trusting them with my furbabies. I recommend to all my family and friends
