I have been taking my adopted 2 year old Shih Tzu here for a few months and am part of their Wellness Plan. I realize this is not the same as pet insurance and after my 12 months will probably switch to a real health insurance plan and maybe a regular vet. I don't think the care is BAD here I just think it is like a clinic vs doctor's office for human healthcare. She is young and healthy so for a year until I get my bearings, this is fine. The whole country is about making profits. That's capitalism! If you think it is not exactly the same with human healthcare you are sadly mistaken.

Yoda loves Dr.Gopal and the entire Banfield Team. They are all so wonderful ,Thank you Dr.Gopal for taking care of my Yoda and saved his life when he was hit by a Shariffs Car on Gulf Blvd. He is doing great and we go for walk every day. I Trust him 100% with Yoda ! Sana Hassan ( Yoda's Mother)

In general this place is so so. Overall their inconsistencies and horrible attitudes illustrate that they are all about making profits from sucking you into a "wellness program" and then tossing your pet to the wasteside. I say that because they pick and choose when to honor their wellness plan services. My puppy has seen the vet at this location multiple times in the past but mostly sees the Banfield vet in Tallahassee. She is on Rx food and of course gets regular Rx meds such as Trifexus. In the past they didn't give me any trouble about getting her Rx food or Trifexus at this location I presume because she is in the Banfield system and they can easily see she has been going to the Tallahassee location. Today they decided they wouldn't allow me to purchase her Trifexus because she hasn't been here in awhile. Literally a couple months ago in the exact situation this was a non-issue. I explained we are 250 miles from the Banfield vet in Tallahassee and the point of having her in the wellness program is so she can go to any Banfield (that's a selling point used hy them). Absolutely no help or suggestions whatsoever about an alternative plan of action. Essentially their response was "oh well." Aparently preventative care (which isn't a revenue maker) isn't a priority for them. Also on a side note if your dog was to require soft tissue surgery they couldn't do it at any Banfield and your wellness program would be useless. You would be sent to a vet school where your bill could cost you thousands.

I took my 6 week old kitten to Banfield because I suspected a UTI. I was at work and couldn't take off so I had to go with a vet that was open later. What a joke! They are basically docs-in-a-box. The vet felt her bladder and pronounced her healthy. Two weeks later, she has bloody urine and is losing weight rapidly. This infection might kill her. If it had been treated sooner, she would have a better prognosis. Banfield did very little and dismissed my feelings about the UTI and now their ignorance might cost my kitten her life. Do not take your pet there! They have no idea what they are doing. Find a true veterinary office.
